So, while I was In Melbs I had 2 jobs - one in a call centre and the other in a cafe. This was always the plan, get some money to save and then buy a car, travel Aus and get farm work on the way.
Nathan and Michael went to buy a car which would be shared between the 3 of us. So I quit my job and we were set to leave a week after. The only problem was that me and Nath broke up about 2 days later. For a number of reasons, most of which i didn’t/still don’t fully understand and I feel like too much of a twat to ask for clarification.
I did what any sane, rational person does and booked a one way flight to Thailand.... more precisely Koh Phangan.
This island has become a second home to me. I knew the best way to heal myself would be to keep busy and spend a lot of time with dogs and the pig. It worked. :)

Our first workaway at the Swan Lake hotel. We stayed here for one week, despite there being no guests and helped with little tasks where we could. The hotel owner was a fascinating man, who taught us a lot about Turkish history as well as how to cook and properly make Turkish tea.
