Love is a feeling, and love is a choice. All feelings are temporary, so when you truly love someone you choose to keep showing them love, even when you don't /feel/ that love. It doesn't have to mean thinking they're perfect, often that's just part of the feeling. Choosing to love someone is knowing that they deserve to grow, to do better for themselves, knowing that they've done bad things and are allowed to regret them, but to not let them be held back by these events. Its choosing to support them as they try to do better and as they go through life along with you. It's choosing to love them even when you feel like you could stab them. And love for anyone is a a complicated choice, loving a significant other, a family member, a friend, and for yourself. And I think it's most important to choose to love yourself, regardless of if you feel it, regardless of if you feel anger or regret or disappointment, because you are only human. and you have the biggest impact on how you grow. Feelings are temporary, but your choices are far more permanent, and you deserve love.
