âDaisy...â Phil started, searching through the food stuffs in the cabinet. Â It was still early. Â Not for him, having woken up hours ago after being jolted awake by a nightmare. Â On those days he had found he was asked less questions when he put off his morning routine until a more appropriate hour. Â âHave you seen a bag of coffee? Â Itâs just in a plastic baggie. Â Itâs small. Â I canât find it.â Â
Coulson didnât want to tear apart the kitchen, but he would if he had to. Â The kitchen wasnât the best place to keep it, with all of the agents going in and out. It had his own name on it. Â If someone did take it, they knew it wasnât there. Â Coulson bag a nice surprise if they werenât expecting. Or if they were.

You're not gonna save your girl?
HE DRAWS THE LINE AT MURDERBOT DAISY. When he gets Fitz and Simmons out of the base, then they go to save everyone and possibly crack the joke âis it gay if you make out with yourself?â since James is apparently not going to do it.
âYouâre smiling because you know Iâm right.â

âI am not smiling. This is not a smile. This is a blank look of incredible disapproval.â Lips, he needs you to get on the same page and stop quirking up higher. Damnit, why was he smiling.
Mace: I need you out in the crowd, Dr. Campbell.
Linc: Okay... What should I do?
Mace: Make a sign, blend in, Iâm pretty sure someoneâs made shirts.
Linc: Okay.
*30 minutes later*
Coulson: Why do you have a sign, Lincoln?
Linc: *wearing the Marvel signature âIâm just a civillianâ starter pack* Â Uhhhh. Blending.
Coulson: Does that sign say âQuake will you marry me?â
Linc: GOTTA GO BE AN ADORING FAN, BYE COULSON!
He considers the smart-ass comment itching at his teeth to be let out before he snorted to cover it. âI already call you Agent Johnson when I want to annoy you, so sure. Why not?â
Phil smiled a bit to himself as he walked into the common room with a tray of food; two grilled cheeses and two bowls of tomato soup, and a couple of beers. It had been a long day for everyone, but arguably no one more so than Daisy. Between warding off the earthquakes, losing Robbie, and coming home, it had been a physically and emotionally taxing day for his young charge. And what better comfort than a home-cooked meal?
âHey there,â he started, sitting down on the couch next to Daisy and placing the food tray on the table in front of them, âthought you might be hungry, so I made your favorite.â
Christmas thread for @melinda-q-mayâ and @morethan084â
Lolaâs flight capabilities had never been so useful. Driving back to the bus in a vintage red corvette with an eight foot teddy bear in the backseat wouldâve been a very odd sight to behold on the highway. By flying no one had to witness the ridiculous sight, and Phil was grateful for it. Last thing he needed was Fury calling him asking him why the North Pole was calling SHIELD for Christmas present ideas.
Pulling the key out of the ignition, Phil climbed out of Lola and pulled the giant bear out of the car, carefully carrying it up the stairs towards Skyeâs bunk. It was Christmas Eve, and the team had taken time off for the holiday. Fitz and Simmons had gone home to spend time with their families, and Ward had been invited to spend Christmas with Garrett and a few of their friends, leaving May, Skye and himself behind. He and May had already planned to spend the holiday together and get some work done, but it hadnât occurred to them that Skye had nowhere to go. Pangs of guilt ran through him when Phil came to the realization; Skye had most likely never had a real Christmas before. Having been bounced around and living in an orphanage during the majority of her younger years, she never had a family to spend Christmas with. So he and Melinda decided to create the perfect Christmas for her, just the three of them.
....he may have gone a bit overboard. Phil had read about the bear on the internet, and immediately decided to get it for the 24 year old. He didnât care that it was ridiculous. After everything the girl had been through, he figured the bear would be a nice source of comfort. Skye was still recovering from her near-death experience at the hands of Ian Quinn; Phil felt himself getting sick at even the thought of the manâs name. Simmons had released her from her quarantine medbay and allowed her to return to her bunk before she left, but most of the time Skye was still just resting in bed, and she still really couldnât stomach most foods yet. As much as Phil wanted to be by her side every second, the bear would be a good substitute for when that was impossible.
Walking into the common area Phil spotted May sitting on one of the couches with a tablet in her hand, undoubtedly looking over some mission reports. Allowing a sheepish grin to come over his face, he addressed her.
âHey! You like what I got for Skye? I think sheâs gonna love it. Want to come with me to give it to her?â
