Crap. I messed up.

Morgarsten is a shameless slut unabashed disaster bisexual who has been making the rounds in camp. I.e. I've let him flirt with anyone who has shown an interest.

So far he's gone on a date with Shadowheart, allowed Astarion to both bite and bone him, and got folded like origami by Lae'zel (twice, poor guy is still sore I think).

And then Gale wants to show him a magic trick.

"Of course" says Morgarsten because why the hell wouldn't he? He's a bard so they have a fun interaction, Gale is adorable as always, and Morrie isn't shy. As durge he should probably picture Gale's head on a spike, but he's trying real hard to be a Good Person these days and Gale is cute af so... he imagines kissing him. I.e. I got carried away because I'm just no match for the rizzard 😩❤️

Now Gale is all smitten and murmurs "I do enjoy our conversations" in a honeyed voice every time Morgarsten goes to talk to him. Which would be fine except I SWORE to romance someone else this time. Anyone else! But of course the stupid fucking drow has to go flirt with him...

If I want to romance someone else now, I'll have to make Morgarsten reject Gale, and Gale will be sad and look at me with his big sad cow-eyes and I will feel horrible 🥺 Ugh.

I may play on balanced difficulty but I swear the romance aspect is on bloody honour mode...

Aww, I've never seen that before 💜 Shadowheart and Morgarsten are having a little fling and now she talks to him when he goes to sit on the chair by her tent. (Truthfully, he's having a fling with half the camp right now. Bards...)

Inktober day 11 and 12: tattoos for the characters 🖤

I LOVE tattoos and if a game has the option I will always give my characters as much ink as I can. Unfortunately BG3 only has facial tattoos, and I haven't found a body tattoo mod that I like, so I tried sketching out what their body tattoos might look like.

Drew the drow. (I know I'm paying more attention to Rani and I can feel him getting cranky about it...) He doesn't look nearly deranged enough but I do think I got his skin tone right.

BG3 OC/Durge: Morgarsten

Second character I made for Baldur’s Gate 3. This one is The Drow Dark Urge 🔪

(No spoilers pls, he's my first Durge and the run isn't finished yet!)

Name: Morgarsten (the gang calls him Morrie. He hates it.) Race: drow Class: bard, college of swords In-game background: The Dark Urge/The Haunted One Pronouns: he/him Age: gods alone knows

I don't like playing evil characters, so at his heart Morgarsten is a decent guy. While no outright hero, he does try to be nice and do the right thing in most situations. He also tries to resist the Urge, with varying degrees of success...

His personality is much of your stereotypical bard: outgoing, charismatic, vivacious, and always up for a good time. The more he distracts himself the less he feels the Urge (and the headache) so he’s usually yapping, joking, flirting, singing and/or playing his lute.

He’s clearly a liability, and a noisy one at that, but he’s also genuinely charming and funny. I imagine the others are both annoyed and concerned but can't help but like him anyway. 😅 Besides, he's obviously far more intelligent than he lets on. There is no denying his skill in magic, and he can be disturbingly cunning.

My own notes: I think I made this guy as a kind of counter-character to my ranger. She is such a serious little goody two-shoes, going above and beyond to save everyone. With Morgarsten my starting point was more “we're some kind of murderous rockstar now, let’s have fun.”

RP-wise he allows for more debauchery and morally grey shenanigans, and the Urge adds another interesting layer. So far I’m loving every second of it! Although I am a little nervous about how this might end, he seems really messed up 😬
