It's always fun playing with picrews, so thank you @litsenn for the tag! See their Ellith and Astarion here 🥰

Whenever the picrew doesn't have facial tattoos I try to compensate by at least giving her some kind of white hair decoration.
The bottom one didn't have anything of the sort, so I gave them both a whole flowery meadow 🌼
Tagging @bhaal-battle-beer-bard @theya-art @wasteful-sam and @optimisticgrey <3
Since the topic of the day (at least as far as I was able to participate) was drow facial hair lore, I quickly popped into BG3 at the coolest time of the day to envision Coran with some facial hair.
My thoughts are he is one of the lucky 1/10, but it generally doesn't grow well and takes a lot of time to fashion it into something nice.
So this might be something he does down the line, so I aged him a bit. Also chose something that wouldn't interfere with his smile lines 'cause I love those things.
Here's a bigger project I've been working on for a while. The tiefling refugees are all pretty close to my heart, so I wanted to give them the love they deserve. A few of them are still missing, but I'm already planning another set for the kids!
Unfortunately, I can't add as many tags as there are characters, so feel free to tag your favorite underrated tiefling!
Oooookay, sorry for playing the boomer. I figured I need to leave the tags here. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go bury myself out of sheer shame.
I'm taking the opportunity to share some screenshots I took in the grove a while back. They're nothing special just straight up portraits and very... green. But also very her 🌿
we need to bring back old school tumblr communication and im so serious. sending an ask to a mutual just to say hello. seeing three different asks in your inbox all asking how your dentist appointment went. seeing a post you think one of your mutuals would enjoy and tagging them/sending it to them in the dms. nowadays its just silently liking a post or (if youre feeling extreme) replying under posts. WHAT HAPPENED TO US!! we used to be a proper community!!!! #LetsBringWhimsyBack
I was tagged by @the-starflower in a post for Esperani here (thank you!) and since this game has done the rounds many times over I will 1) respond with my signature LTB-open-tag and 2) point everyone at the five OCs I've infodumped about via this game (in this order):
Farago Heli (rogue scout)
Zafraia Zital (swashbuckler rogue)
Ruy Acavés (knowledge cleric)
Cannor Coth (whispers bard)
Qiranna Jasti (hexblade warlock)
I know I should probably do something new for one of my umpteen dozen lesser-explored characters but this is what I can offer right now.
It's also kinda fun to compare/contrast their current modded gear with the vanilla stuff they used to wear.
Premise:
Write/Draw/VP for your OC as a spirit of folklore, any folklore!
Got tagged by @litsenn after they wrote about their Ellith as a lamia (lovely piece of lore, do go and read it!)
Very soft tags in turn for @optimisticgrey @onlytavs and @bhaal-battle-beer-bard :)
This is so up my alley, folklore is one of my special interests!
I actually ended up doing a drawing:
Rani as the skogsrå/forest warden
Rå (pronounced kinda like "raw") is an old-timey word that means "warden" or "keeper". Scandinavian folklore is full of these wardens and there's one for every part of nature - lakes, mountains, the sea itself - and even some for human constructions like mines and bridges.
They are the spirit keepers of their domains and immensely powerful. Like nature itself they follow no laws or morals but their own and can be either your doom or your saviour depending on the circumstances. Usually a bit of both...
Unsurprisingly, the most well-known and most frequently encountered is the skogsrå. The forest warden.
She usually shows herself as a beautiful woman, but her back is like a hollow old tree-trunk. Or she has a tail, usually a cow or fox tail.
(I like both so I gave her both in my drawing.)
The most common tales about her is about how she'll approach men to seduce them. She'll charm them, laughing and dancing around their campfire, beckoning them to follow - but always careful not to show her tail or hollow back. It's very dangerous to fall for the temptation, because if she likes him enough she might decide to keep him. She will put him under her spell so that he will always be compelled to go to her whenever she calls. Many, consumed by longing for her, end up vanishing into the forest forever.
But she is not only a seductress. Many stories tell of her guiding lost people, especially women and children, out of the woods or helping them in some way. Like helping shepherds by guiding and protecting their sheep and cattle and bringing back lost animals.
If you help her in some way and show due respect toward her and her forest (or, you know, sleep with her) she might reward you.
She can enchant your bow/rifle so that it never misses its mark. Or bring wild animals before you during hunts. Maybe give your axe the strength to fell entire trees with a single strike, or make it so your campfire will always burn no matter how damp the wood or how bad the rain and storm.
If you anger her she'll do the opposite: curse your rifle so it always misses, hide all wild game from your sight, or confuse your mind so you can never find your way home.
To protect oneself, most important is of course to never give her your real name. If you suspect you've drawn her ire you can also put your clothes on inside-out, as a form of counterspell.
Like many others of her kind she is sensitive to iron, so iron pieces in your clothes or on your body keeps her at arms length. In fact, one frequent favour she might ask is help to cross railroads, since she can't walk over the iron rails without human help.
Can't think of a better choice for my wood elf ranger 🌲💚
