ok two things
1. morgwingpad is real
2. morgana and launchpad are mostly there because of drake
2.5 if anything happened to darkwing (ie dead duck wasnt a dream, he's in a coma or something, he vanishes into another dimension) morgana and launchpad would maintain a relationship that was simultaneously tenuous and stronger than a warriors' bond. they have 20/80 custody of gosalyn. they fight all the time. theyre really cold to each other. theyre also best friends and they hang together. they make out angrily every so often. morgana comes over for family dinner once a week. you get the picture

can you imagine being drake if these two team up against you…. id have a panic room prepared just for that occasion
So I just thought of this headcanon for Darkwing duck. He actually does have feelings for Launchpad but he is too scared to act on them due to his past.
His first boyfriend Elmo and him had to be in secret cause of homophobia during his teen years. And Elmo disappeared suddenly.
This probably caused some abandonment issues.
Then there was Steelbeak. I'm pretty sure it was pretty toxic. With Steelbeak being a manipulative jerk. Drake is so desperate for love and affection he gets a bit blindsided. I do think Steelbeak hit Drake a lot. Drake who was already bullied and abused by his parents and like I said was desperate for love. Oh and did I mention he was the cause for Steelbeak missing beak. So yeah in his own mind he believes he deserves everything.
He finally dumps Steelbeak after finding out the truth that he is from F.O.WL.
Now he has abandonment and Trust issues.
I think he fell for Launchpad as well but was scared to admit it for three reasons
1- He wasn't sure if St. Canard wasn't homophobic anymore.
2- He was Scared of LP abandoning him or Dying
3- Because of Steelbeak he fears the day LP would drop the nice guy act and hurt him. ( Yep steelbeak acted nice at first)
Lucky for him he has a supportive girlfriend who not only explain he is Bisexual ( drake never knew about that) but also that LP would never hurt him and he should tell his feelings.
I think Morgana would definitely be a wing woman/ girlfriend to drake. And probably threaten LP life if he hurt him. But she knows he won't 😊😊.
Anyway that's my headcanon oh and he definitely admits to LP on a moonlight night. LP obviously accepts in tears and tells him he has loved him all along making them kiss.
