About mori: because there are so many layers, it matters a lot less about what your body size is and more about what your frame size is. Even if you are plus-sized, having small shoulders and a small ribcage will make you look pretty much the same in mori as someone who is thin. However, if you're broad shouldered and barrel chested, regardless of your size, mori is going to make you look boxy and larger than you are.

You can definitely pull off Mori Kei! You just have to adapt to your body type. For example, I'm very busty which means the usual bell shaped dresses look terrible on me. In my favorite outfit, I use a shirt, a velvet jacket (woman cut, or it'd be too baggy) and skirts. It is more form fitting while keeping the overall feel of Mori Kei. It's a style that offers a lot of wiggle room, so play around with scarves, belts, skirts and tops until you find something that truely fits you! Good luck !
