森系 Mori Kei Week / Nov 27 - Dec 3 2025
This is your invitation to participate in a week of mori kei activities ✉️ミ
Each day has two choices, so pick whichever one you feel like doing (or do both if you're feeling ambitious).
Whether you post about it or not is up to you, but if you do, please tag it as #mori week.
~Here is the link for day two's DIY.~
oh look the admin of the mori discord themself is horrendously late for mori week!
my favorite colors currently are foresty greens i think, and here is an outfit<3 i wore this to a con (and actually cropped this from a photo taken with a cosplayer bc i have no one to take pics of me at home😂)
as for my favorite place in nature... hard to say. i love the forest, but ever since moving somewhere where mountains exist i started seeing a lot of nice mountain views too, and i love streams and rivers and lakes and the sea too... there is so much to enjoy. i really love touching moss! its so soft<3 i love finding mushrooms! and i really love singing or playing music in the forest. without any people i can be unabashedly loud and weird, and birdsong makes for a wonderful accompaniment<3 just need to find a nice tree stump to sit on!
my favorite flower may be lavender, also daisies possibly, and my favorite tree is... extremely obvious😂 exactly what it says on the tin. but besides lindens also cherries. both the flowers and the fruits are both wonderful, and even the leaves if you ferment/oxidate them exude a beautiful aroma (think alcohol aged in cherry barrels) and are lovely as a tea!
This outfit is from the other day. Everything but the socks is thrifted.
An ideal mori day is hard to decide on. Probably doing a photo shoot in a woods and then coming home to scan magazines or sew, but one day, I'd love to wear mori to go wild ice skating and take winter landscape photos.

Unfortunately I am way too busy to do a whole outfit shoot right now but if it’s any consolation my favourite colour at the moment has to be this dull sort of burgundy.
My favourite place in nature probably has to be Cragside House in Northumberland, it’s not true nature to be fair, but so little of that exists anymore in England. It’s forested, blanketed, engulfed in tall pine, utterly unlike anything that exists in the surrounding countryside, blotted and cleaved by farmland, nature conscribed to hedgerows.
I’m not a fan of landed gentry in general, I consider myself prescribed to the abolishment of aristocracy, but Lord Armstrong at least knew how to spend his money. The house is magnificent, a borderline chalet, to call it a house is a discredit to the beautiful feat of Victorian engineering and architecture that is carved into the very landscape.
The house was the first building to ever be lit by hydroelectric power, all three hundred and fifty lightbulbs, or maybe sixty, I can’t quite recall. There’s a little boathouse with the old dynamo in, paint peeling and rather drafty, but fascinating. The walk is at least pleasant, sunlight flitting through pine.
A traditional rock garden is built into the landscape at the rear of the house, staggering into the gully in tiers of solid stone and shrubbery. I’ve spent more than a few afternoons with a slightly squished picnic basket having lunch listening to the river churn and birdsong, as well as eavesdropping on tourists.
There’s a steel bridge that cuts across the gorge, an immense thing, I remember the day it was opened, I was knee high then, and terrified of the height. Nowso I have little fear in walking across, I was lucky enough to see a red squirrel across the banister one day.
The grounds are supposedly teaming with them, but I can count my sightings on one hand, nevertheless Cragside is a sanctuary for the species. They’re funny little buggars, much less brutish and brash than their American cousins, who have accosted me in the local graveyards more than once.
It’s a nice day out, and one I don’t do too often unfortunately.
