HEAR: The New Basement Tapes featuring Elvis Costello "Six Months in Kansas City" I've said it before. I'm not Bob Dylan's biggest fan. But I have the upmost respect for the man and an unending fascination for the fact that he is so revered. Then along comes Elvis Costrello and T Bone Burnett and Jim James and so on and so on and so on and in two weeks they becomes a band and record this album. "Lost on the River" is a collection of songs written by Dylan but considered long forgotten and even lost. So they were brought to new life by this eclectic supergroup that came together and just made the magic happen.
