With the advancement of non or minimally invasive technology, arm contouring requires a multifaceted approach. A lot depends on how much skin (and fat) need to be removed or tightened and overall skin quality. Surgical removal of skin and fat is called a brachioplasty and requires an incision from the elbow to the axilla (arm pit area). For patients whose excess is minimal, a limited incision brachioplasty is an option where the incision is confined to the axilla. Patients with mild to moderate excess and with good skin quality are candidates for ultrasound assisted liposuction (VASER) where ultrasound is used to melt the fat and tighten the skin. Skin can be further tightened using radio frequency, BodyTite, combined with liposuction. The skin surface itself can also be smoothed using externally applied Microneedling with radio frequency, Morpheus8 Body. In general, patients with significant skin/fat excess will require surgical removal, brachioplasty, while those with less may benefit from less invasive liposuction and skin tightening modalities. #brachioplasty #armlift #morpheus8 #morpheus8body #bodytite #bodytite💯 #vaserliposuction #vasersmooth #vaserhidef @plasticsurgeryasps (at Dr. John Burns - Dallas Plastic Surgery Institute) https://www.instagram.com/p/CFqlv2knWxI/?igshid=1tr2nvmgkq5kj
