Oops I spent money on bugs again

On the pinning block; Morpho Cypris! People will tell you that the wings of morphos never show up right on camera. What they dont tell you is that there is no way to express how fucking blue they are.

Digital cameras can't pick it up because a screen can't display how fundamentally and unsettlingly blue these things are. I looked at it in direct sunlight for a split second and I now have a sunspot burnt past my retinas and branded right onto my brain. Needless to say I need 10 more.

Recently framed this gorgeous Morpho telemachus foucheri, it’s not quite the bright blue we seem to associate with morphos, but it is absolutely stunning none the less! Also a lot harder to get hold of! Super lucky I have a couple of these to mount up!
