Are there any Transformers affiliated with S.P.D.?
Dear Deka Determined,
I believe that several members of the "Morphormer" alliance between the Transformers and the Power Rangers have worked with Space Patrol Delta, defending against forces of the Machine Empire, the Troobians, and the Sporix. As Cybertronians do not need any special equipment or Grid-derived powers to operate outside of an atmosphere, they are perfectly suited to performing such interstellar operations.
The fox usually contented itself in the courtyard, appearing at odd times and often for no discernable reason. Red had spotted the lithe creature stretched out in the grass, sunning itself, or slinking about the fountain with its ornate marble dragon posed dramatically in the center. When he could get away with it, Red watched the sneaky beast to see what it could possibly be up to in a palace.
No one ever attempted to chase it off or voiced complaints about a nuisance animal that wasn’t Red himself. The farmers would arrive with their wares in carts and wagons without being menaced. It wasn’t destructive to the grounds.
‘I don’t think it has rabies,’ Red mused, observing the fox from the outer door to the kitchens, a place the servants wished he’d stop lurking in. ‘No foam on the muzzle. No aggression, but it isn’t timid either.’
The fox strolled amongst the burly men as they unloaded meats, vegetables, fruits, eggs, and honeycombs. No drunken, stumbling gait, no shaking, no signs of paralysis in its limbs…
‘If it's not infected, why is it acting so strange?’
When the fox began showing up more frequently, Red had pestered Finster-5 for access to the library. The aggravated alien gave in to shut him up, not seeing any danger in the mutt wanting to read about some filthy forest beast. Hunting for the book would give Red something to do besides his juvenile antics or getting into some type of delusional snit.
The slim paperback was jammed against the back of the shelf, smashed by larger tomes. It was glossy and brightly colored, a child’s simplistic educational book. He’d almost missed it, as it had also been misfiled some time ago.
But Red had found it by some odd stroke of luck.
He was cycling through the facts he’d learned about vulpines when the fox’s triangular face swiveled in his direction, golden eyes meeting his own.
And when the animal lifted its muzzle, it wasn’t a warning.
Red knew a grin when he saw one.
He didn’t have a reason to keep watch on the intruder as it was no threat to Lord Drakkon. Red knew that if he were somehow incapacitated or absent, his master would have no difficulty in snapping the fox’s neck before it could even growl.
So when Red discovered the creature curled on a jacquard cushion in the tyrant’s private chambers, tail draped over dainty paws, he made no move to scruff it or shoo it away.
‘If that prissy ass kisser, Chester, hasn’t thrown a fit over an animal on the expensive furniture, it must be permitted.’
The condescending manservant did not like messy things. He didn’t like Red in particular which suited the pet just fine. Red had bitten him once, sinking his teeth into the bastard’s arm after Chester took a broom to him for some perceived transgression. The taste of him was shit but he never attempted to correct Drakkon’s canine again.
Red decided that since no one else took issue with the fox’s residence, then he wasn’t going to trouble himself with it either. It didn’t really DO anything. There were times that he went looking for it because the beast occasionally disappeared.
That was not the same as the fox being gone.
He might not be able to locate it, but the pet felt its presence, heard the click of its claws on the stone or a soft ‘chirr’ or gekker. Red once caught sight of the bushy tail disappearing around a corner as he assisted his master into his regalia. The clever thing also managed to slip through the many mirrors in the palace, watching from the looking glass.
Grinning…
If Drakkon were in residence, Red was much too busy to play hide and seek with the thing. Perhaps it decided to show proper deference to the master and remove itself. At least, the creature had manners.
‘And I don’t have to clean up after it…’
Soon, the fox was as much a fixture of the palace as Red himself.
Red was young when the fox arrived, his cheeks only covered by a fine growth of hair. Age was irrelevant for a palace pet as birthdays were for people. Besides, the canine’s sense of time was as spotty as his linguistic ability.
For the gala celebrating his master’s day of Ascension (or maybe of birth, Red couldn’t recall), the palace was in an uproar preparing for the festivities. The overstimulation grated on the canine’s nerves and he had already gotten hold of three Sentries that morning.
Unfortunately, the skirmishes took place in the throne room, the dining hall, and the long corridor from the entrance, staining emerald runners, tapestries, and expensive tribute gifts from overseas with splashes of blood and ripped flesh.
Chester was beside himself with the mess. His lordship would be returning soon and expected a luxurious ball to commemorate this historic day. He poked at Red with a cattle prod, trying to corral the pissy mutt back upstairs and out of the thick of things.
“It’s stressful enough without that loony abomination acting out,” he grumbled to Finster-5, who’d come out of his laboratory to see what all the yelling and profanity was about. “I can’t have him down there scaring or mauling the staff and ruining the decor!”
Finster-5 huffed.
“I certainly don’t have time for his foolishness myself. I knew from the beginning that this whole thing was a terrible idea.”
He stormed towards where Red huddled on the lounger, his expression sullen and promising more fuckery.
“Why must you insist on being a nuisance? More trouble than you’re worth in my opinion! Both of you!”
Red was ignoring the scolding, his arms around his legs as he rocked. But Finster wasn’t done venting his frustration.
“I should have put you out of your misery the moment I found you. Rita would be alive and no one would have to put up with you and your insanity!”
The canine stopped rocking and rudely spat at the scientist’s feet, stopping his approach.
“Vile beast! If you don’t cease and desist, if you ruin Lord Drakkon’s banquet, I’ll see to it that he knows it was all your doing, that it was deliberate sabotage, and you laughed while doing it!”
Red started to fire off a torrent of obscenity, but movement over Finster’s shoulder caused him to falter. It wasn’t a yield though it was accepted as one. He stared intently at the mirror near the staircase as something shifted behind the looking glass.
Slowly one black ‘stockinged’ paw then the other stepped over the gilt frame and onto the embroidered rug. The fox rested there a moment, half in and half out, of the shimmering surface. It had to do that when crossing. Red vaguely recalled a phrase about ‘getting your sea legs’ and assumed this was a similar situation.
Finster continued to make snide comments to Chester about his regrets but did not reveal the details of Red’s arrival at the palace, where he came from, how he became so goddamn insufferable. The pet continued to watch the fox, brow furrowed in confusion.
It wasn’t that the creature emerged from the mirror; it had been doing that for some time. Red used to wonder how it did so even going up to one and tapping at the glass with hesitant fingers. No one else reacted as if such a thing were remarkable. They continued about their business so he did too.
What caused Red to stare incredulously was the waistcoat, a deep burgundy brocade with brass, gear-shaped buttons, and the top hat perched on his head. Velvety ears twitched from where protruded beside the large goggles perched on the brim. Their iridescent lenses shimmered in the light as the fox turned to look at him.
Finster rolled his eyes at Red’s seemingly catatonic reaction. He waved Chester away and the two descended the stone staircase, their footsteps clipping along the risers.
From the floor above, they heard Red’s blunt, childish insult.
“You look dumb…”
The haughty alien grabbed the servant’s arm, stopping him from turning around and igniting another bitch fit with the obstinate mutt.
“When Red decides to be petty or bullish, it’s rarely worth the pissing match. Only with his lordship, that abomination doesn’t mouth off or start baring his teeth. Just be glad he’s out from underfoot for now.”
“With Lord Drakkon, Red is all peaches and cream. Everyone else is a faceless pool of potential chew toys.”
Their footsteps faded yet the pet didn’t notice they were gone. He was glaring at the fox in its bizarre human attire. Red could only surmise that some infantile fool had decided to stuff the little animal in the absurd outfit.
“You should have bit them,” he huffed as the fox trotted closer. “I would have.”
The muzzle opened, revealing small sharp teeth, the fox’s version of a grin. And Red heard the clever creature’s dignified retort.
“I assure you that this was not taken off the rack. This is a custom design, darling…”

One thing I do like about Beast Morphers was the idea of the Morphin Grid having the possibility of being turned into specific aspects like renewable energy but I’d really like to see where some of these ideas would’ve went .
Say imagine a Demon/Angel or Magic Gods season where prayers and collective belief can draw in grid energy and maybe the villains use this via worship(with the general theory of humanity sharing a collective unconscious and their fears and emotions bringing these beings into existence). Like false deities, could also bring in Lightspeed Rescue with Ryan and show off the LR tech that their agency made connecting to it…I might do something with this ngl.
