I normally try to keep text posts off this blog, but ah, some art I posted on a private discord in confidence was stolen by one of the users there and reposted publicly to 4chan without my permission or consent. It was a huge betrayal of my trust and felt pretty awful.

I’ve recently been made aware it’s being reposted to tumblr as well. I’ve tried to explain the situation politely to the poster and requested they please take it down, but I just want to put it out there, please, if you see art that you suspect I drew that hasn’t been posted on this blog, not to continue spreading it around, sharing it, or reposting it. It would mean a lot to me, thank you.

R76 Secret Santa

Well, it’s that time of year when retail goes to hell and in the spirit of trying to make this holiday season more fun for two people smack in the middle of consumerism @mysadtwodads2 and @apostapal have joined forces to host a little Reaper76-centric gift exchange! Join us in sharing a little old man related happiness and cheer with each other!

For anyone unfamiliar with Secret Santas they’re basically surprise gift exchanges. You receive a person and, in this case, a small list of prompts and make them a gift while someone else does the same for you. On the chosen date you post your gift and get to see what you got in return!

But! Some guidelines, before we get started!

The goal is a safe and happy community event so we’re going to be turning away anyone who participates in ships or content that are abusive or harmful (see: inc*st, p*dophilia, ra//pe, ra//cist tropes, etc). Please do us a favor and just don’t apply. Go make your own gift exchange and let in whoever you want if you so choose but know this is a personal stance that we won’t be backing down on.

We’re focusing on art and writing as our main gifts to exchange; sorry if any other skills feel left out but it’s a little more difficult to secretly gift someone a clay model over the net–you understand. We’re not going to do any extreme quality checks but be sure you’re at least intent on presenting someone with a completed piece, whatever that may be to you. That said, all skill levels are more than welcome and please don’t think you have to be some master of your craft to participate; we want everyone to join in the fun!

-Writing pieces should be no shorter than approximately 1k word count, higher is definitely welcome if you so choose.

-Art doesn’t need to be a full color, full shaded print quality piece or anything extreme but be sure you’re giving something you’d be happy to receive the same quality of!

We’ll be accepting applications for the next 5 days, meaning the cut off date is November 19th but please submit your application as soon as possible so we can get things rolling. After that, we’ll get a start on getting assignments out and letting people get to work! Dates for gift giving are tentatively December 19th thru December 23nd to ensure everyone has time to get their gift done and posted during holiday events!

We will be setting up a Discord server for updates shortly, which you can join to get some easy reminders. Otherwise, all updates will be posted here as well and you can direct any questions to this blog or email us at [email protected]!
