Okay...So.
After you disappeared, I sort of flung myself into trying to help the star dragon, Aurelion Sol. I don’t know if you’ve ever met him, but he was bound to Mount Targon and forced to abide to the whims of the humans there. I felt bad for him because...you know, the whole unjust imprisonment thing, we’ve both been there. Certain humans had heard that I was trying to free him, so one mage in particular tried to recapture ME to evade my freeing of the star dragon. You know how I feel about being controlled, so...I sort of killed my Void body in favor of being a slave again. When Aurelion Sol heard what happened, he was kind enough to fashion me this new body to inhabit. After that we sort offffff...Um. Well. He’s my mate, now, Shaco.
