Are there any fun (or traumatic) facts you can share about Xornoth and Scott's childhoods in MoS, I know you mentioned before that Scott has slept in the snow before
Scott has slept in the snow, yes. He gave the slip to his caretakers many times and just wandered off into the winter. Fortunately when he was small he wasn't able to go far. But he absolutely gave more than one servant a heart attack when they found him curled up asleep, covered by a thin layer of snow that wasn't melting, even on his skin.
Xornoth was the first person to hold Scott after he was born. They were smitten immediately and promised to do everything in their power to keep their new baby brother safe.
Scott doesn't get cold and Xornoth doesn't overheat and they absolutely spend a lot of time being each others hot water bottle/ice-pack.
Xornoth almost froze to death their first winter and Scott almost died of heatstroke his first summer. Everyone knew, after that.
Xornoth knit a little blanket for baby Scott. It was Scott's comfort item for as long as he was allowed to keep it, even though he never needed it to stay warm.
They were each others' first friend.
Scott was very young when Xornoth was exiled, about the elvish equivalent of second grade. (Xornoth was the elvish equivilant of mid-teens)
From Chapter 2 of the first MoS fic
"Do you know where my brother is?" Nínim sticks her head out of the linen closet to point at the southern wall. "The prince is in the far pasture, helping bring in the last of the carrying ewes before the storm hits. Should I send a messenger to fetch him?" "No need," Xornoth shakes their head, which results in damp strands of hair tangling around the prongs of their antlers. "I was just wondering." Nínim inclines her head. "And will you dine in the hall tonight or should I send your meals here?" "Here please," Xornoth focuses very hard on picking hair out of their antlers. "And could you please notify the queen that she will need to approve the final storm preparations and inform the council that the prince and I are not to be disturbed tonight under any circumstances." "Of course, Sire."

They are trying so hard and it is…Not Going Well. At all.
Aldjxjxnxnx I’m glad you’re excited! I am also so excited. I actually had to message my beta a couple hours ago like “so uh…I’ve been editing and I’ve done so much the version I sent you the other day is no longer accurate I’m so sorry here’s the updated version”
I’m distracting myself by looping some of my playlists for this AU (I will eventually make refined versions of those to share with everyone here because yall are so lovely and supportive and I will inflict my brainrot music on you) and trying to figure out the aforementioned title issues
I’m scrolling through Pixlriff’s lore transcripts in the hopes that he will save me on the arc title. Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi Pixlriffs. You’re my only hope.
Clarifying point for Marriage of State specifically, Xornoth’s pronouns are they/them, Exor’s are (currently) he/him
So that will be something distinguishing between the two of them.
Today's Piece of Marriage of State AU Trivia
originally my concept was that Pearl and Xornoth would also have been arranged married (in the most platonic of marriages ever) but ultimately i decided against that.
