Feeling pretty mellow and satisfied with this Greek sparkler. Sweet lemon rind on the nose with a hint of vanilla, apple, and candied underripe pineapple. Lemon and orange notes on the palate with orange zest and a hint of sweet breads/pastries.

A very interesting rendition of a staple Greek variety moschofilero https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moschofilero . This is a bright clear pale salmon colour wine with some tears on the glass. On the nose it is clean with medium+ intensity aromas suggesting banana, honeysuckle, red apple, grapefruit, elderflower and orange zest. Fully developed. Dry on the palate, with medium+ acidity, medium alcohol level, medium body and medium+ flavor intensity, displaying banana, lime, honeysuckle, red apple, grapefruit, elderflower and orange zest. The generous fruit is balanced by its zesty acidity. Medium length. The quality is very good for a well-balanced, rich in concentration and with good complexity wine of medium+ length. Good to enjoy with Greek meze. Thank you!

2017 Domaine Skouras “Zoe” Rosé

Ohai. I’m all decked out for rosé season with some Greek rosé on paw. This is a light and fun one. Cherries, raspberries, white strawberries, and flowers on the nose. Similar on the palate with a hint of bubblegum. Cheers!

This recipe combines tender baked chicken breasts with a creamy lemon sauce, perfectly complemented by the vibrant acidity and floral aromas of the 2013 Tselepos Classic Moschofilero. The wine's crisp acidity and citrus notes cut through the richness of the dish, creating a delightful dining experience.

Ingredients: 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts. 1 lemon, juiced and zested. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 tablespoon olive oil. Salt and pepper to taste. 1 cup chicken broth. 1/2 cup heavy cream. 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley. Cooked rice or orzo, for serving.

Instructions: Preheat oven to 375F 190C. In a small bowl, combine lemon juice, lemon zest, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Place chicken breasts in a baking dish and pour the lemon mixture over them, turning to coat evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until chicken is cooked through. In a saucepan, heat chicken broth over medium heat. Stir in heavy cream and simmer until slightly thickened, about 5 minutes. Serve chicken over cooked rice or orzo, spooning the creamy sauce over the top. Garnish with chopped parsley. Pair with a chilled glass of 2013 Tselepos Classic Moschofilero from PDO Mantinia, Peloponnese, Greece. Enjoy!
