Is it dumb to say Charles, again? Probably, but I’m going for it. He was the only person Alice relied on with 100% certainty. Alice never really had friends, or romantic interests growing up, and with how often she moved around, Alice wasn’t interested in starting anything for the longest. She does have romantic ideas of love, but they’re not a priority. But when Charles died, Alice shattered, completely. Heart, mind, body, soul. She’s still picking up the pieces.
