Fanart for @not-poignant, not going to lie these two are some of my all-time favorite characters, and definitely love them as a duo. I don’t know what happened here, I was just suddenly able to draw way better than I usually can.
Under the cut, there’s a version of the above image where the Raven Prince doesn’t have his cloak (spent way too much time on his necklace to not share it) and some yapping.
I skimmed the fic several times over to find descriptions for them, and ended up rereading the entirety of the Seething Seas. Which is why this took me weeks to finish. Whoops!
Anyways, ever since my first read through, I knew I had to draw Mosk’s giant, ugly, kelp colored coat. It must be the most charming piece of clothing I’ve ever read about. I didn’t intend for him to have this weird, chopped looking bob but honestly I don’t mind it. His horrible posture is something I’ve imagined about him. He seems like the sort to slouch, especially at the beginning of the series.
The Raven Prince, I struggled with. At first, I was going to draw him with a lot more jewelry but I struggled so much with his main chain I just. Was not doing that lol. The boots were fun, the feather motif was inspired by a pair of boots I’ve actually seen. Honestly jealous of his wardrobe, like, ok so you get the gorgeous knee highs and I don’t?
I don’t actually draw plants all that much, but I adore how they turned out. I didn’t initially plan to have them, but then I realized I wanted to draw all the plants Mosk grew on the crow’s nest, so yeah. Trying to draw Raven’s Pearlflower stressed me out. I was debating making the leaves more square, but I decided the curved look was better. And the FLOWERS. I don’t even know if I like them. Ehhh. I enjoyed drawing the bg tho.
Heya!! Ive been reading the ice plague for the first time and I’m enjoying it a lot :) I’m a few chapters into book two now. I was wondering how old Mosk and Eran were at the start of book one? I know they’re very young by fae standards, but I’m not sure how many years that is. Sorry if this is something I just glazed over by accident!
Hi anon,
They're both around 200 years / 2 centuries, give or take a few years. Mentally/emotionally, they're around early 20s, like 21-23!
this was the biggest vibe I had during the last chapters of TIP Book 3 😌💖 sometimes an adopted son can be 2700ish years older than their adopted dad, and that’s just how it is for Mosk and Gwyn!! love em!!!!!
I love these boys, and I’m so glad they get to take some naps and just be in love for at least a few decades.
For Feadom Week 2022 (over at @poigdomevents) Day 1 prompt: domestic, but like, there’s a few different prompts this could work for and I’m two days late, so pick your favorite.
I’ve been wanting to draw this ever since @freyadragonlord first made that true-form Eran plushie and now it’s Faedom Week so I kicked myself in the butt and finally did :D
I wanted to do so much more, but only ever got time to do one thing for Faedom 2022. Painted a sunflower mug with some of my favorite things from the Seething Seas - plus the flesh fruit because it was a must.
The outside of the mug is inspired by the fire scale blanket Mosk found for Eran, the handle is the rope around Mosk wrist and little purple flowers for the ones that Mosk grew for The Raven Prince. Inside at the bottom is the flesh fruit and the walls of ice as Mosk visited Davix. Didn't come out perfect, buy still quite happy.
