Hello!! Regarding ReAniWeek, could you explain what each day’s prompt means in a little more depth/detail? I’m a little slow. Thank you!!

hi! i can do my best but i am a little confused on what you're asking about. each day has two prompts: one more 'concrete' one and a pair of abstract words/phrases. you can choose do to something for either the concrete or the abstract prompt, both, or neither. this is an open event; i accept all reanimator fanworks, no matter how loosely they are connected to the prompt. sunday is a free day, so you can submit any reeanimator fanwork you'd like, or choose to do a prompt you've skipped before.

i hesitate with giving guidelines/my interpretations of the abstract prompts because i don't want to be limiting, but if you'd like, take a look through this blog's archive or posts tagged as 2024 to see how people executed them last year!

as to the explanation of the concrete prompts, i'm putting it under the cut. if you have any more questions, feel free to send another ask or a DM :^)

favorite scene - your favorite scene from the franchise

hurt/comfort - a genre of fanworks that centers around a character getting hurt (physically or emotionally) and then being comforted and taken care of

creature feature & monster AUs - open to any kind of monster/creautre designs or alternate universes. what if these guys were vampires and werewolves? or, if you want, lean into the zombies in the franchise or create something for herbert's morbid doodles. the finger-eye creature is my personal favorite

halloween costumes - if the characters from re-animator were to dress up for halloween, what would they go as?

post-canon - all fanworks that explore what might have happened after the end of the franchise (...or post bride, if beyond re-animator is that loathsome to you)

genderswap - what if these characters were a different gender?
