Summary:

Excerpt:

“You…” he breathes, excited, disbelieving joy billing up inside of him. “You love me back.”

Draco rolls his eyes, but even in the weak light of the Lumos, Harry can see that he’s trying to suppress a grin.

“Oh my god. You do feel the same way!”

Harry moves to sit up, but Draco stops him with a hand to his chest. And then Draco is leaning down, and then they’re–

Kissing.

Draco is kissing him, so softly and carefully that Harry can’t breathe. He doesn’t move a muscle, terrified that if he does he’ll break whatever bizarre spell has been cast upon them and the moment will end.

“I do,” Draco whispers, pulling away only far enough to say the words against Harry’s lips, and then kisses him again.

Old Kingdom AU - Darevas

“Mosrael, the second, a harsh, rowdy bell, the waker. The bell whose sound is a seesaw, throwing the ringer further into Death, as it brings the listener into Life.”

Darevas has known the names of the bells since before he could read. And he’s always known his brother would carry the weight of them, even before the bells appeared, and Felasel first stepped into Death. But Darevas will not let his brother walk alone, and so even when the Clayr claim that when they Saw his brother, Darevas was not present, he refuses to let him go without him. The Clayr see many paths, all with different endings. But Darevas refuses to allow a path where he is not at his brother’s side.

Summary:

Harry Potter thought he could outrun the burden of infamy by isolating himself in the Muggle world. Draco Malfoy hasn’t been seen or heard from since his trial. Will a top-secret Ministry project, a beautiful garden, and a little heat carry them both home?

Excerpt:

A ripple of familiar magic rolls over his body, making him gasp. It hasn’t been this strong or present for so long.

“It’s about time,” a gentle voice says from somewhere behind him, “From the way you were sleeping, one might think you were out all night in a thunderstorm doing stupidly noble things and getting yourself nearly blown up. Again.”

“Draco?”

“Well I’m certainly not the Minister for Magic,” he replies, sliding off the large rock he was perched on. His light pink slip rustles around his thighs as he walks closer, and his long hair floats in waves around his shoulders from where Harry had braided it for him the night before. Harry can see that his cheeks are flushed and healthy-looking. His eyes are bright and sparkling, and the smile on his face no longer looks pained.

He wasn’t sure he’d get to see Draco like this again, so he looks and looks until Draco flushes and squirms where he stands, unable to return Harry’s gaze any longer. Finally Harry’s brain catches up with the rest of him. “You knew I was out here and you just left me all night?”

Draco scoffs and examines his cuticles, “No, you daft git. It took me a while to figure out where you went. There was the whole running off into the middle of the night without so much as a note bit, you’ll recall. When I did find you, I wasn’t sure if it would be safe to move you away from this place. So I made you comfortable and let you sleep. But I’ve been here. Making sure. Taking care of you…” his voice trails off and he twists his fingers in front of his stomach.

It’s true, Harry realizes. The ground around him has been magically softened and he feels more rested than he has in ages. He stands and stretches expansively, groaning with the delicious pull and burn of his muscles.

“I was just trying to take care of you too,” he replies.

Draco steps so close to Harry he can almost count the barely-there freckles scattered across the bridge of Draco’s nose as he leans in. “I know,” he whispers against Harry’s lips, before kissing him so slowly and tenderly that all Harry can do is wrap his hands firmly around Draco’s hips and hold on.
