Here's my ranking of all Metal Slug games I've played from most to least favourite:

Metal Slug 3: By far, it's the highest point of the series. It's a literal magnum opus and an instant classic with a good amount of enemy variety and alternative paths.

Metal Slug 2/X: It's almost as good as the third game, but not quite. However, it does perfectly build upon the first game in interesting ways by adding new vehicles, new enemies, new locations, new weapons, and two other playable characters (Eri and Fio).

Metal Slug 1: I believe they're as good as the first two games, but it mostly serves to lay down the groundwork for the other games.

Metal Slug 5: I personally enjoy it a lot, but it's not as good as the original trilogy.

Metal Slug 4: Sadly, it's the lowest point of the series. It's a shame because it has the makings of a great game. However, due to corporate financial troubles, the final product had to be rushed to save money.

This lil' ranking of mine might slightly change in the future, but let's see.

Bearn, the God of Well Loved Toys

He brings warmth, this quiet god. The world around you fades to cotton wool and you feel a flush of safety. When you look around, you find that his arms are circling you; held within his soft embrace, you sink into a silent bliss. He takes the form of a giant stuffed toy, his brown fur faded in patches and smudged with dirt, one eye loose in its cavity, the plush velvet of his paws threadbare. "Do not worry," he says, and his voice is low and soothing. "I will take care of everything." Gently, he brushes a lock of hair from your eyes. He rests his paw on your cheek, and you feel a pleasant heat sink into your skin, leaving a raised red mark in the shape of a pawprint. "You will be safe with me," he says. "There's no need to fear. We are one now. We will give comfort; we will bring calm. We are their precious things, and we will protect them. You and I, we will be their strength." You can feel your skin growing softer, shifting from flesh to faded velvet, your insides crammed with cotton. With stitched-on lips, you smile wide. You cannot wait to meet your new friends.

Favorite Teen Wolf characters (and why)

Yay! Love this! Okay, here we go:

Stiles - It goes without saying! He is sarcastic, smart, and ADHD (as well as autistic) coded. I identify with him quite a bit. But he is also acted amazingly well and given such an excellent backstory. In a lesser actor's hands, this character wouldn't have been as amazing, so I have to thank Dylan for that. Stiles' loyalty, in spite of rejection, and his love for his father makes him feel like a real person, and not just a character.

Derek - He constantly shows how hard he is trying to live up to the legacy that his mother left behind. Though he messes up from time to time, he tries to learn from his mistakes and that's what makes him such a compelling character. A true alpha if I've ever seen one. And Tyler really brought a world-weariness to the character that made him incredibly compelling on screen. Would have loved a spin-off show just about him.

Peter - Yes, he's the villain from time to time--But he is always a man with a plan, a man who knows what he wants and exactly how to get it. This is why I love his character! He's sarcastic, wise, dangerous, and very obviously a Hale. Ian did such justice to the role.

Isaac - I have so many feelings for this boy, and he is one of the characters that just looks like someone that could be a werewolf, if you know what I mean. Again: sarcasm, tragic backstory, and street smarts. Something about these three things make compelling characters for me. He survived a physically abusive father and went through some great character development on the show--until the writers were done with him and just dropped him off in London.

Argent - Where do I start? He had an amazing storyline of redemption amidst tragic loss, and was acted so perfectly by JR Bourne. He brought a gravitas to the character that very easily could have been camp if done by another, less experienced one. Though Zuko from AtLA has the best redemption story ever, Argent comes in a close second.

Sheriff Stilinski - Now this is a man that feels real. From the first moment I saw him on screen, I knew I would love his character, and I was right. He is a dedicated father, a brilliant sheriff, and it's obvious from how they wrote the show that Stiles got his smarts from his father. A great mix of sarcasm, tragic backstory, and a smart mind.

Melissa - The McCall family has one claim to fame: Melissa. She is a strong single mother who not only holds down her job, but manages to deal with her son and his werewolf problems, as well as a social life. She stepped up to the plate and became an amazing asset for the werewolves and I fully support her in everything and do not blame her one bit for how her son turned out.

Now, before you start saying "What about Coach or the twins or Danny or Cora?", just hear me out. Yes, we all love them, but I am writing down characters that I love for specific reasons, mainly around the fact that they don't feel contrived. All of them fall under the category of three-dimensional, well-written and acted characters that step outside of a standard form sheet.

One thing is missing was I haven’t got into time to making my list of top artworks that I’ve posted at DeviantArt back in 2020. I should’ve got this for last year, except some scheduling mixed up or something....😓

At least today I finally bring you this what I got it made since January 28th to 29th with a help of PicsArt editing. 😉 From my iPad Mini tablet, of course.

It’s the results from yesterday I’ve checked so many faves to my posted artworks at DeviantArt, Although there will be numbers change if everyone see my 2020 artworks and added to their favorites folders. So I wanted to show this right now and feel free to give your thoughts and likes for this list I’ve bring up....excluding of art trade and comics, though. ^^*

By the way, I’ve selected one or two artworks each who get the most faves (single or altogether) in each month like from January to December. However not every months like July, October, and November will get one; as I last checked it almost be reaching amount of 20 or more. So apologize, but maybe this year I will be bringing the next top artworks post with full 12 months soon?
