ladybug is a responsibility for marinette. this is why its so much more important for marinette to have someone (alya) who knows as support. marinette loves to design, to support her friends, and to be a creative and free person! marinettes ideal job would be a freelance comissioner!

guess what ladybug isnt. freedom. its a very public and high pressure and constantly interrupting. its not free, she didnt choose this.

chat noir hates being adrien. chat loves the freedom, the public loving him for the real him. he loves the adrenaline, the freedom, the unjudging life as himself!

adrien isn't freedom. hes trapped by modeling and his dad (or the memory of his dad), and the public image of Adrien Agreste.

Chat Noir and Marinette are their free selves. they need opposite arcs.

marinette has to learn to ask for help, that the difficult bits aren't everything and you can be happy even while dealing with like small business taxes

chat noir needs to learn to ask himself for anything. to be himself and not rely on a mask for freedom. learning that if your only happy when your working, theres an issue.
