We had to fight tooth and nail, shed blood, sweat and tears just to protect our 12,000+ state workers. These are workers who ensure Missouri citizens get the care they need! Children’s Division, Dept. of Health & Senior Services, Dept. of Social Services, Dept. of Youth Services, Child Support, Foster Parents & Parkway School District employees! The Supreme court had to intervene and literally MAKE the state come back to the bargaining table! But we never backed down, we continue to educate our members and communities we serve, we continue to build relationships with ally organizations and legislators and more! So if you see a state worker, essential frontline heroes and sheroes, give them a simple “Thank you”. it goes a long way after all we have to fight against and deal with on a daily basis!
