To sleep, perchance to dream
And recover from 2 hours of sleep
Oh and below will lie my review of A Game of Shadows
It was better than the last one.
Slightly better written, a teeny bit more in character.
RDJ is still far too emotional a Holmes, but his volatility is perfect. Their portrayal of his deductions is visually yummy too, if not nearly as cool as the BBC's.
Speaking of Mmmmmm RDJ should take off his shirt more often and they are nearly as shippy as BBCverse but not quite but really "Lie with me, Watson." ?!?!?
PFFF. Just. Eye candy every where.
And mustache candy. That was an exorbitant amount of extravagant mustaches. Me gusta.
Also explosions I think Jim needs to blow up more stuff I just love explosions so much they are like the only redeeming quality of these movies.
And of Jim- Moriarty was pretty good. He's the softer kind of creepy, the unassuming gentleman who just so happens to be a criminal mastermind, although they don't make him feel as psychopathic and morally lacking, just attempt to force it upon us with his scripted words. I also really enjoyed their deduction battles, which are better left viewed rather than explained, as again, they are a visual feast.
I'm still sad that he died, though. It just reminds me of Andrew Scott's imminent demise. D:
My friend was freaking out because they died and I was giggling because of the gifset of them filming that scene and she definitely thought I was more heartless than usual until I explained.
The slow motion, while a bit silly and overdone in most movies, I quite like in here. It's... cool. Time is taken in bits, made extra dramatic, like we're viewing it alternately from a normal person's and from Holmes' viewpoints.
FRYCROFT was mainly there for comedic relief and a useful source of help and information. He did a good job with the part he was handed, and was very amusing but sorry PRAISE GODTISS.
And I will never unsee that. O.O
And they killed off Irene. I was pleased because I'm a horrible person like that.
Anything else I ought to cover?
