i’m just complaining, not yucking someone’s yum, but like. can y’all stop filling the RadioDust tag w RadioApple and RadioBelle and RadioStatic???? i’ve had to filter those out and like every five posts i’ll get actual RadioDust but for the rest it’s filtered content.
“couldn’t you just unfilter it?” SURE but then i might as well be scrolling through my “For You” instead of the actual tag i’m looking through.
y’all enjoy all the RadioApple and RadioBelle and RadioStatic y’all want, i won’t mind seeing the ships when i’m reading/looking at HuskerDust. it’s just irritating when over half the posts in the RadioDust tag are filtered out bc they’re not actually RadioDust or only have like, like these poll things i keep seeing?
idk what’s up w those, i’m definitely not the demographic for them that’s for sure.
ugh this turned into a rant but seriously it’s just frustration w not having enough RadioDust
if you normally follow me and have never seen me post abt Hazbin Hotel before oof sorry i’ve been knee-deep for months now. it’s an interesting place
WTF?! SG Writers...
Okay, so it’s not like its surprising (unfortunately) because it was obvious that once Katie McGrath was made a series regular for season 3 that SG was going to make Lena Luthor evil/bad, at least temporarily if not permanently. And I get it. Season 2 has really been a let down in terms of quality, and one of the biggest reasons has been the lack of a clear villain/antagonist. Seriously, who is the bad guy in Season 2? Cadmus? Rhea? The White Martians (who only showed up in one episode but supposedly are still a threat)? President Marsden? Aliens? Humanity? Zod? Frankly, I’m not sure even the writers could answer that question with any certainty.
So, no I’m not surprised that they are seemingly going with the unoriginal story of complicating the Kara/Lena relationship by making Lena turn bad. I am, however, disappointed by the lack of originality and poor execution. What is the apparent catalyst for Lena’s turn to the “dark side”? Jack’s death. How does she turn dark? Rhea steps in as a mother figure in Lena’s time of need. Really? Are the SG writers really trying to push that as the story?
I’m supposed to believe that Lena Luthor, the woman who survived the loss of her brother (the only person in her family & life who treated her with any kindness for many years), the loss of her father (the one parent who had some semblance of affection for her), the decades of emotional manipulation and subsequent betrayal(s) by her mother, the constant threats to her life and well being, the disdain and disgust thrown upon her by the world because of her name all without any real support system will be irrevocably broken because of the death of Jack Spheer (the supposed love of her life who she hadn’t spoken to or heard from in years and who she never mentioned once to her best friend during all the times they spoke or hung out) even though she now has Kara looking out for her and willing to be her emotional support.
On top of that, I am expected to believe that genius level IQ Lena who has managed to outsmart, outplay, and outmaneuver her psychotic genius brother, cold, manipulative, and calculating mother, and has managed to run a multinational billion dollar corporation that deals with various governments, regulations, and bureaucracies at the age of 24 will be manipulated and played by Rhea of Daxam, the woman who comes from a (supposed) patriarchal society where women were second class at best, couldn’t convince her own son to return to his life of luxury as a prince, killed her husband because he disagreed with her and couldn’t convince him of her position, and whose first reaction to dealing with an obstinate and difficult Supergirl was to try to shank her with a Kryptonite sai. This is the incredible woman who will convince Lena that she is the mother figure Lena always wanted with a business proposition?
Like I get writing is hard but seriously are you even aware of the characters you are writing anymore?
