✍️ WIP Wednesday
Thank you for keeping me in your thoughts, @gefionne, @elfyroot, @sandetigerrr, @rattyhorrorpictureshow, and everyone else who has kept me in mind in various tag games. I’ve needed a bit of distance lately, and today I was finally able to get back to what’s most important:

I’m doing a little bit of writing on Raid Nights and Chapter 14 is up to around 3k words. The story itself will be winding to a close soon (though these things do sometimes have a way of stretching themselves out an extra chapter and I do have my suspicions), but my intent is certainly to see it and The Dalish Champion to their respective ends before August.
What lies beyond that is a little more complicated, but we’ll get to that later.
In the meantime, I feel I owe a little more than a last line written, so here’s a steamy little segment from today’s writing session:
Once food was plated and ready to be served, he nodded in his own approval. There was no need to impress, no platitudes to bestow, and no expectations to be met. The two of them could exist alongside one another in no uncertain terms and that was all either of them needed.
That was what he thought, at least, until he decided to check in on Ellana’s efforts.
“Vhenan, I’ve finished the—“
The words died in a strangled choke of confusion as he found her in his room. On the floor in the front of his bed was her discarded jeans, t-shirt, hoodie, and socks. Sprawled out atop his comforter was the rest of her, propped prettily in a pair of lacy, dark blue underwear and a matching bra consisting of far more straps than it needed for functionality, clinging enticingly to all his favorite curves of her ribs, breasts, and neck.
Oh, and if you think this chapter is going to get too serious, don’t worry. It will, as usual, have my brand of humor. 😂
