I should have predicted that all this hunting in the 4th episode will come out wrong. It was too good not to come out wrong. Elisabeth getting an opportunity to do what she likes? Unfortunately, it almost never ends well.

Also, Maximilian is getting on my nerves. I get that he's important for the plot, and he is interesting as a character, but... I just dislike this type of character. Maybe I'll change my mind later, but so far, he only sets a bad feeling every time he appears on the screen. I don't mean it as bad writing, though. I think he is at his place. I just don't like such places.

I haven't mentioned it yet, but I really like the costume designs. The colors are so fresh, and the style is so good. I don't know if they're historically accurate, but I love them nevertheless.

The screenshots are not of the best quality, but I hope you get what I mean.

Also, I really like this little moment in the carriage:

I feel bad for Franz Joseph almost constantly feeling nervous, but I truly enjoy the way Philip Froissant conveys the emotion.

A Question

932

CW/TW: murder mention, past murder attempt. BBU/WRU. In the safehouse. I am trying pick up and arrange my plot pieces. This occurs sometime after this.

“Do you want me to kill him?” Mercy pitches her voice low and soft, just for 932’s ears.

It’s an unusual offer for her to make, in this house, especially after sedating and patching up the person. When he shifts and makes a pained sound in his sleep, Mercy glances at him with concern.

“It won’t hurt,” she says. “It will be quick, painless.”

She wanted him dead once. She remembers plunging the knife into him, pulling it out, doing it again, his hot blood spilling over her.

In the moment she wanted him dead. But mostly she wanted to get away, and she had. More or less.

The safehouse is his house, and if he doesn’t survive, she’s not sure if it can.

“No. No, I don’t want you to kill him.”

Summary:  Peter realizes he has been collecting trauma like souvenirs. He would very much like to ignore his newest found fear, but with trains barreling down tracks everywhere he goes, it doesn't seem possible.

Word count so far: ~14k

Note: This fic has gotten entirely away from me. In the beginning I thought it would be 5 or 6k. I’ve lost control. There is honestly so much comfort in here, it’s getting ridiculous. 

The next chapter might be a little bit because I need to expand on quite a few things, but I’m very excited for it. Thank you to everyone who comments and sends me nice messages. I’m sorry about always being so stressed out all over tumblr.

How to be a Perfect Spy

Plaster on concealer before you leave just to be safe. Say all the right words with the occasional mistake so nobody catches on. Pull up a chair and a smile so everyone feels at peace. Attempt good posture so as to not appear so "down in the dumps." Attempt to breathe but don't accept the world for what it is. Don't let go, because that is the the hardest part. Letting go.

Thus you should work harder, even if you can't breathe. Even if you try your best and it definitely isn't good enough, hide behind the locked door of your room until it all goes away...but then what are you really accomplishing in life? Why live if you can't really live? We all have a story, with ups and downs. Streams and rivers flow but never stop, so why should you?

To be the perfect spy, you can't work with colors, let alone blend them together. Don't be stupid. Imagine how they'd think of you. Those intense reds and mystical blues...the glittering pinks and the jubilant yellows. What would they say if they found out how grey you really were? What would they think if you weren't grey enough?

Living in fear is much better than living in a world of well deserved lonliness. ❤
