I feel as though someone has reached deep into my chest, and, wriggling their fingers under my sternum, caught some tendon or fascia or nerve, dragging it out with them to show to me. And with such viscera wrapped tight about a demonic claw, I can feel the weight of my body hinging on that place, feel the piercing, dancing pain, feel the harmony in my bones as they draw a nail across my tether, resonating always with some unheard song that has cried across the firmament since time immemorial.
