Midnight The Earring and Murmur

Yes, despite making zero sense his name is Midnight because I really couldn't think of anything.

Basically, he was a basic toon, He was supposed to be a secondary bully character. Murmur (The smiley figure) is his best and only friend as she never let him make more and he became a worse person to interact with over time and the two of them are jerks to other Toons for little to no reason.

Midnight is a rude and inconsiderate Toon but rather than going out of his way to be cruel only picks on others when he sees an opportunity to. He doesn't lack basic empathy or sympathy he's just really mean. Generally, he's a quiet individual and isn't completely unbearable when Murmur's not in his ear.

Murmur is very possessive hence their dynamic. Murmur is meant to be the personification of what a toxic friend might act like. She specifically thrives off peer pressure, encouraging and pushing her friend to scare and put down others and insisting she's the only one who can and will put up with him because his bad personality.

Midnight is an example of what you do NOT want to become and that if your friends start treating you badly, putting you down or pressing you to do things you don't want to do or are uncomfortable with, you should not stay friends with them.

His Twisted form is free of Murmur's influence, but he lost his mind to the Ichor and is as insane as any other Twisted.

Toxic friendships/relationships sound a bit extreme for a cartoon like Dandy's World I know. I'm not too bothered I never got far with him as a character for that reason.

But it gave me an idea.

Because his lore is so dark he was scrapped, In universe.

But if he was scrapped, how is he a Toon? Simple. He was created later (sometime after Dyle), specifically his job was handling all the Ichor Extraction Machines keeping them working

This also means he'd be a Lethal. Other toons can't interaction with him however outside of when he's Twisted because I don't see him selling anything. This is not set in stone.

Hopefully I'll go into depth on him later. I'm still thinking about his Twisted function.
