“You absolutely sure that you’re okay?” Jacob looked over towards the girl. He knew from experience with his wife that sometimes when people said that they were okay, they really meant the opposite. It had resulted in many times where Daniels would just glare at him from a distance.

He raised an eyebrow slightly, but kept away from where he was. Nobody else seemed to be around, all of them busy with something else. He didn’t mind so much, and he did like to make sure that everyone on his crew were okay. Make sure that none of them were physically or mentally not okay.

Daniels heard the noise before she saw anything. She turned and looked towards where it was coming from with a frown. She had to be slightly wary. Had to keep an eye out for anything that might be dangerous. The only people that she really had any trust in were her crew and Walter. 

She stepped forward towards where the noise had come from and tried not to make too many sudden movements herself. “Come out from wherever you are. Slowly...”

     “Is there something I can help you with, or are you      going to keep staring until your eyeballs fall out of      your face? Personally I’m hoping for the LATTER.”

It had been close to two months since the Covenant had left and Walter was making the best of it, utilizing what David had left behind when he took Walter’s place. He was documenting the local flora in a comparative study with the flora of Earth when he heard it: the distant humming of an engine. He followed the sound until he came upon a small space craft, small and stealthy enough that he had almost missed its descent.

Walking closer, he spotted nobody. Walking around it, he tilted his head curiously, running his remaining hand over the smooth hull when he found his other arm grabbed and twisted behind him as he was shoved face-first against the metal.

He couldn’t see his attacker but from the firm grip he deduced that it was to solely hold him in place, and he saw no reason to fight back yet.

”My name is Walter”, he pressed out. ”I don’t mean you any harm.”
