why doesnt motion 5 have a pen tool like photoshop where u can select things like it has the bezier tool but that's for masks and i want to select something and add a filter/behavior and im sure there's a way to do it but i cant figure it out and it's driving me crazy. i want to take the area i've selected with the bezier tool and just select it, not mask it and then i want to add a filter or behavior to the area that is chosen. what i have to do instead is go into photoshop select what i want from the layer > layer via copy > save as .psd > import to motion and then work from there and it's so annoying + im only working with still images so it's fine for now but if i want to do i video it's going to be a real problem bc photoshop isnt really made for video. like i could use final cut but i hate final cut.
im sure there is a really simple solution right in front of me and im just not seeing it. you know when you're looking for a shirt in your closet or something and it's right in front of you but you cant see it so you're like 'mom where's my shirt' and she comes in and she's all 'it's right here' and pulls it out and it was right in front of your face the entire time? that's how i fell rn
does anyone know what im talking about + how to fix it??
