Moto Adonis’ Slammed ‘Brutus’ Yamaha XV920R Cafe
Which looks more like the typical café racer: the Honda CB or the Yamaha Virago? think about it for a bit, as I walk you through the latest project from Moto Adonis, this stunning Yamaha XV75. The XV series was a unique V-twin cruiser, and now acts as starting point for various builders in the USA and Europe.
This sleek Yamaha was modified by Daan Borsje of Moto Adonis, and now shows off some modern looks, blending the modern aesthetic of Classified Moto with some vintage touches. The XV750-based project boasts a stubby seat and lean-forward stance, with various ideas having been materialized while going forwards with the custom bike’s redesign.
This Yamaha XV750 is no beauty queen, but it’s way cooler than originally intended. It’s been equipped with a new front-end swap, using parts from a 2012 Yamaha YZF-R1 – brake system and wheel included. Moto Adonis went ahead and adjusted the XV750 and R1 triple trees, while keeping the modern conical bearings; but, there’s way more to be told about this project.
The clip-ons were sourced from a Kawasaki Ninja, the aftermarket brake/clutch setup makes sure the bike handles a good thrashing while the wheels were covered in Dunlop’s performance-oriented Sportmax rubber. Please note the fully adjustable 38 mm Hagon shock, Benelli tank and hand-made custom exhaust working alongside a GP muffler. Most electric parts are new, as they should be, but the starter button and kill switch make me smile. You like?

Since today’s my birthday, I reserve the right to act out on impulse and madness, regardless of any rules or regulations – even my own. As such, I decided this 1979 BMW R100RS designed and built by Moto Adonis is cool, and worth talking about – although I have to admit information regarding it is quite limited.
The guys at Moto Adonis have customized the BMW R100RS and transformed it into an even more impressive piece of machinery – if that were possible. The bike was completely stripped apart, and the project started off from a new rear frame, and continued with a custom leather seat with a double diamond pattern, aluminium fender, not to mention a stylish paint-job. That stripped gas tank seems to mesmerize me, but the bike as a whole is what really grabs anyone’s attention; wouldn’t you agree? Happy Birthday to me! P.S. Feel free to add a bow to this bike and gift it to me.
