Our Interview with Motoki

A bag full of enthusiasm with a blend of humor, YouTube star @motokimaxted from Los Angeles, California is spreading the good vibes in the internet through the use of his camera and talent in video editing.

Last 10th of August 2016, we interviewed Motoki asking him questions on how he started making YouTube videos, he said “I started making YouTube videos after I watched people like Kevin Wu (also known as KevJumba) and Ryan Higa (also known as nigahiga) and thought they were so funny. They're videos were so fun to watch so I figured why not try to make videos myself.” And so we asked him who are the YouTubers that inspires him to make YouTube videos? He said, he liked watching his friends, who are also YouTube stars namely Jeffrey Chang who is also known as JeffreyFever and Nathan Zed who is also known as TheThirdPew in YouTube.

The next question we asked was when he started making YouTube videos. He said “I've been making videos forever, the first official video I remember making was back in 5th grade. Filmed it all in my backyard and the video was trash but fun regardless.” Our next question was requested by “Motokids Maxted” family, a fan-community of Motoki who requested us to ask Motoki the question on what was the first thing that came into your mind when you became famous? Motoki said, "Maybe girls will like me for once" - nah just playin' I'm not even famous you know that.”

As we end our interview, we asked our final question to Motoki on what messages he wants to say to his fans/supporters and said, “To all the supporters and viewers out there. Just know y'all are bomb as hell and make me wake up each day happy and excited.”

About Me

Motoki Joseph Maxted is an American-Japanese born December 3rd 1996, known as an Internet star who publishes comedic advice videos about relationships and other awkward daily struggles across his YouTube channels.

He was born in Akron, Ohio and he lived in Japan for three years.

His mother Kumi Maxted is Japanese and his father Mitch Maxted is American, Motoki is the youngest among three siblings, Kajot Maxted his eldest brother and Manami Jo is his second eldest sister.

He attended at Wauseon High School in Fulton County, Ohio and graduated at 2015. He currently lives in Los Angeles, California taking up college in Loyola Marymount University pursuing B.A. in Film and Television Production.
