Not A Feel Asks
itaat- other people seem to have a sort of "flow" to their body movements but mine are sort of jerky and awkward looking. Like when other people bend down to get something it looks natural but when I do it it looks and feels weird?
~Motor difficulties / balance problems / etc., are commonly an autistic thing (I have this specific problem too). So yes.
allistics don't enjoy things like flapping and rocking, right? I can't tell if I'm relearning how to stim as an undiagnosed autistic or learning to stim for the first time as an allistic, but I know that I've been trying stims and really, really liking them.
~I’m sure allistics could flap / otherwise stim if they really wanted to, although I would assume most allistics would find that it feels weird and unnatural (the same way most autistics find holding back stims feels weird an unnatural). I would do some research into autism if you haven’t already, and also find a way to see if you displayed any stimming or stimming-like behaviour as a child (which would tell you if you are relearning stimming or not). I also want to note that people with ADHD and Tourrette’s stim too, so you could also look into that. Even if you come to the conclusion that you’re none of those things you can continue to flap and stim if you want, as you’re not hurting anybody by doing it.
I self diagnosed myself as autistic for the longest time but we had found out that I'm actually just schizophrenic. -✨🐱
~That’s quite alright, your questioning process was and is still completely valid. Also, there’s a possibility you may be both autistic and schizophrenic, but that is something that’s up to you to figure out.
Not really a feel but I think my therapist knows I'm autistic even if I haven't really said anything!! She asks me about by stims and faces away from me so I'm not pressured to make eye contact!! And!! Its just so awesome to not have to act Normal™ even just for an hour every other saturday
~That’s so awesome! I’m so happy for you!!! :)

Has anybody else had the problem of their accommodations being used like rewards? Because in elementary school and part of middle school, ever teacher I had treated it like that if they even followed my IEP at all. They'd be all "well I you can write a paragraph here then you can type the rest" but to this day I can't write legibly without my hands hurting, and even writing illegibly is pretty bad.
