BREAKING: Mitt Romney says he will not run for president in 2016, crushing the hopes and dreams of tens of people.
People, people, settle down please
Lots of arguing about the election tonight. Well, luckily it's basically over, and all I care is that I don't have to see more political ads.
HOWEVER, the one post I'm seeing repeatedly on Tumblr is the complaint of the Popular vote showing Mitt Romney as winning, but Obama has the electoral vote. Remember, Obama is a victor on projections. In actuality, the votes of the West Coast aren't even counted. So the popular vote toll we see today is not the final popular vote, in fact, the popular vote will just become more Obama-favored as California, Hawaii, and Washington are counted. Even as I type this post, the popular numbers went from 52% Romney and 48% Obama and is now evening out at 49% for both parties. So, please, before trying to complain about inaccuracies in popular votes, wait until the votes are counted. Plus, the Bush-Gore election stands as the most recent precedent, and there have been numerous other elections in the same suit: The electoral rules the election. It's an old tradition, and it may be wrong, but it is so.
Good run to both parties. I just hope we can finally get back to OTP rants and beautiful Megucas now that this blight is over.

Mitt Romney
My friend just told me she wants Romney to win the election.
Mitt Romney is in my town today. If you couldn't get arrested for public harassment and probably a number of other things, I would throw an ice cream come at his face during his rally.
Now that Mitt Romney has won the nomination, Mormons still worry about a press that doesn't understand our traditions. Viewing what is tender and sacred to us as worthy of exposé, writers have approached me or my colleagues for pictures of our religious garments or for detailed descriptions of our temple ceremonies. These requests are not intended to be disrespectful, but it is difficult to explain how we feel about these things to people in our modern western tell-all culture. We appeal to traditions of Islam or Native American cultures to try to explain why we don't talk about these things we hold dear, but in modern western society the only reason people don't talk is if there's something to hide.
