this was drafted two days before he died. i don’t want to delete it, so i’m posting it. i miss you so much. this was the last day you purred for me. with the last of your strength, you came into my room, purred for me, and then you slowly died in here. i hate myself so much. i wish i could have saved you.

we buried him next to pipi. mom received some beautiful pink peonies from an acquaintance today, and she gave all but one from her bouquet to mouffles. i will make sure to buy something nice for the grave, but oh god, it happened so fast, even with all that digging. so fast. i know we delayed pipi’s funeral for days because it was winter and mom wanted to say her goodbyes, and now we were all already here, but... i miss him so much already.

he passed away where i sleep every night.
