The Gamers: Dorkness Rising
Straight on to the sequel. This is more of the same and I mean a lot more. Where the first movie went for around 45 minutes, this one is just a little shy of two hours and it's great!
This one had something that the last didn't, a Budget! Ha... Ha, I'll stop now. In seriousness, it's amazing what they were able to produce with the budget they had, it makes me wonder what they'd be able to produce with a sizable Hollywood budget. Not even one of those ridiculous Michael Bay budgets, just a Kevin Smith sized budget will do.
The jokes in the movie are numerous, but the humour doesn't always come from them cracking one liners, it can come from how they interact with each other, background gags (Mountain Doom), or just the follies of being a gamer that one goes through when they play these games.
I'm really looking forward to seeing what they can do in the third movie, considering the leap in quality from the first movie to the second.
