1) It was always in my head that Briony and Tak met during high school. Being two years her senior, Tak didn't have any required classes with her but they did share an elective class one year. Now, I'm making this up as I type... the class they had was Computer Science, which Tak took for the easy A, and Briony because she didn't care. The two sat in front of the computers furthest from the teacher for some peace and quiet. Tak silently programming things that weren't part of the curriculum and Briony glancing over every few minutes since she had nothing better to do. After the first few days of silence, Briony finally broke the ice and began asking questions. What are you doing? What's it for? Where did you learn to do this? Doesn't all of that hurt your head? That's all I've got so far. 2) Features, eh? She probably thinks that he has the loveliest head of hair she has seen since Tak. Aside from Ev's gorgeous physical appearance, Briony likes how fierce he can be when it comes to the safety of those he cares most about. At the same time, Briony thinks that that is one of the worst features of Ev's character. While she doesn't doubt that she has some place in that convoluted heart of his, Briony does sometimes wonder where she ranks on his list of priorities. 3) Having spent a fair amount of time with her, thanks to those father-son hunting trips to the Macalister home, Tiny realized pretty quickly that she was important to him. After Everett was taken from his family, Tiny retreated from them and went to Libby for comfort. She didn't tell him that he needed to be strong for his mom and siblings. There were times when Tiny didn't want to be strong and times when he didn't want anyone to tell him he had to be anything; it was during those times that he would go to Libby. During his high school years, Tiny admitted that he was in love with her but the two never dated. Presently, he tells himself that he loves her like a sister. 4) I think Libby would choose a romantic relationship with Jesse over Tiny. She likes the idea of an incredibly adventurous lifestyle with Jesse, but he being who and what he is she doesn't believe it would ever truly happen. In regards to Tiny, I honestly feel that she views him with the same eyes she has for her own brother, even if they did experiment with a kiss or two during their teenage years. 5) The Vasquez bros. They're not far apart in age, and I imagine this to be the root of a lot of their problems as children. Thanks in part to the dramatic events that surrounded their births, the two didn't have the luxury of spending fair amounts of time with both parents. Tiny spent a lot of his childhood traveling with Everett, which Briony disapproved of, and Riley was often at home with mom. Tiny is actually envious of Riley's relationship with their mom, and so he would be the one to start a fight. Things between them improved slightly once Tiny was of age to legally live on his own. 6) Honestly, Al doesn't approve of how things were handled, but he understands that his opinion really doesn't matter anymore since it won't fix anything. There is so much shit going on that he doesn't feel the need to add to Mags' anxiety by berating her for the decision she made. Trying to make her feel okay is really the least he could do. Whether he has made it known or not, she has saved his sanity on more than one occasion.
