Remember my crazy self being duck-taped by my mom? Wel, this is the beautiful completed piece. ----- This past weekend, we were privileged to celebrate my parents-in-law's sixty wonderful years of marriage together. THIS was her wedding dress. She made the dress herself, down to sewing the tiny pearl buttons on the lace sleeves. When I found the dress tucked away in her closet, I squealed inside myself with joy. Being able to restore it and display it at their party was very exciting. Everyone there was able to see it's beauty and imagine how gorgeous she was in it on that day. That experience is now one of the highlights of my life. I am grateful that I have been able to be a tiny part of those special sixty years. I am grateful that they have shared their amazing son with me. Day 716: I've never been to a Drive In, but I've always wanted to go. Yesterday, in a way, that long time wish came true. A group of friends set up a Movie Under the Start Night🎥. We had blankets, lawn chairs, popcorn, and little boxes of candy (just like at the theatre!). The weather was perfect🍃, and our bug spray and tiki torches were very effective in keeping away the bugs. 🐝 The ones that did hang around actually made the movie better, flying into the light of the screen, and appearing to be a part of the action! 🐜All in all, it was a pretty cool experience. So, I guess if you can't go to the Drive In, you bring the Drive In to you. Leland and I went on a long walk yesterday evening. The weather was perfect! It was so lovely to get out, get moving, and observe creation around us. As unusual as it is, the beautiful azaleas our area is famous for are already blooming! (The weather has been confusing for us all!) However, it was wonderful to "stop and smell the...
