Great impromptu outing to the #peakdistrict today, making the most of the #sunny #spring #weather in the #upperderwentvalley took my #mountaintrike for a wheel wash in #ladybowerreservoir then did a few km on the red walking trail. Still feeling the adrenaline...
Nearly had a misadventure but my trike handling made it peak adventure...nailed a half mile, mainly downhill trail of drainage ditches, a nice flat trail near loch Morlich, coming back the same way...heading uphill, got my back wheel stuck in a ditch...just lost signal, going dark. Put all weight at front of my trike, pulled on a strong bush while grabbing the steering, brakes and used body weight as it rolled backwards and got myself out...got to look at it as an achievement!
