[2026-02-12] It had been raining and windy for the past few months. Decided to get out whatever. Drove to Kings Tree and walked up the Upper Derwent. Track was quite wet, must be really wet and muddy on the moors. Stopped by Stainary Clough due to deep water. Rivers were as full as iIhave seen them.

[2025-10-22] A walk around Little Howden Moor. Started off walking uo Abbey Clough and tehn along the right. This is the coffee stop with the moors to the north. The walk finished by walking along to Back tor and then descending to Derwent Reservoir. A great day and apart from around the reservoirs there were few people about, which was surprising as this was the best day of the week weather wise.

Great impromptu outing to the #peakdistrict today, making the most of the #sunny #spring #weather in the #upperderwentvalley took my #mountaintrike for a wheel wash in #ladybowerreservoir then did a few km on the red walking trail. It’s amazing what you can do with a mountain trike, some rope and some friends! (at Derwent Reservoir (Derbyshire))
