The #ProvoUtahTemple. With the number of temples being closed for significant renovations, remodeling or otherwise rework, and the recently completed mega-overhaul of its onetime #SpaceshipTemple twin, the #OgdenUtahTemple, there isn't an #LDStemple presently operating with more speculation & #faithpromotingrumors surrounding its future & eventuality. Does the #LDSChurch preserve this unique #architechture that was first unveiled in 1967 at the height of the original #StarTrek television series? One thing for certain, if an Ogden type rebuild comes it will be an entirely new temple since this building as is performs an integral function in #MissionaryTraining in that the #MTC as well as #BYU are close neighboring institutions. I don't see an MTC bus platoon to the #ProvoCityCenterTemple, #PaysonUtahTemple or #MountTimpanogosTemple as being viable options for closing a structure for 4-5 years as they did Ogden. Another unintended consequence for the brethren will no doubt be considering if this is even debated is neighborhood impacts given this part of #Provo has fought over proposed MTC expansion (they dislike large or otherwise tall buildings) as well as #LaVellEdwardsStadium expansion issues in the past.
