NOVEMBER TRIBUTE - i couldn’t let this year’s tribute go by without mentioning my parents love for #mountunion My parents knew that a good education was necessary in the 90s for us to be successful and have the best opportunities in life. I’m sure they would have preferred a cheaper route, but all four of us elected to attend and graduate from Mount Union College. @hoosiers8169 (91), me (93), @ginabannevich (96), and @andihawkeye (97). GRADS4 has been my moms theme! Nothing made my mom (and im sure my dad from heaven) happier than when @victoria_margarett transferred to Mount her freshman year, and now to have @maggie_dominick there in her second year (and playing softball which my parents loved to watch her do)! This picture was taken last fall thanks to @annegsphotography as a commemoration of my parents commitment to education. It represents many things about who may parents were and what they taught us about pushing thru, staying the course and achieving goals. This picture also represents my parents hopes and dreams for their kids and grandkids. Let’s face it, this picture also represents a lot of money spent to achieve a future of endless possibilities. Today’s kids have so many more options and i feel blessed that Victoria and Maggie have followed the family tradition. I look at Gia and Dominick and pray that they each find the path that fits their individual goals and dreams, whether that include dear old MUC or not!!! At the end of the day my parents gave us an incredible gift by supporting our years in college. For that we are all eternally grateful. #alssucks #missmydaddy #educationcreatesopportunities #sacrifice (at University of Mount Union) https://www.instagram.com/p/BquNtH7hEFOA1dJq_o1C7NDO_Xoy8PIo-SCWUg0/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=3zevmeh17w8b
