“Bruce always had a little ‘joke’ he used to say when he’d leave and put me in charge. He’d always say ‘Keep the lights on, until I get back.’
This time... he left that last part off.
I’m going to try and keep the lights on.”

"Most don't even know he was human. Vampire, demon, ghost. We all know the myths. But that's all we have left of him. The fear he instilled.
That is his legacy. And we need to honor that to honor him."
Dick speaks at Bruce's funeral. (For real this time.) Though I really have to interject that I think Bruce's legacy is far more than just the fear. For starters there's you, Dick. To say nothing of all the other lives Batman touched.
(Batman #687)
"I'm looking at a dead man, right? No! I'm looking at the leftovers!
You thought you could fool everyone?! You thought Batman is something that could be replaced?!"
(Batman #288)
"He would have gotten out of the car."
"Well, sir... One might ask... Why didn't Batman get out of the car?"
(Batman #687)
"Master Bruce was always proud of you, sir. I know he'd be especially proud of you now."
He'd also ask why you're wearing that Bat-costume against direct orders, but yeah, he's proud too.
(Batman & Robin #1)
"Coping with our... loss... as best we can."
(Gotham Gazette: Batman Alive)
"Everything I am is because of him. I'm just not sure I can be him.
Or that I want to."
(Batman #687)
"And look at 'em go, Bruce. I gotta tell ya, this job could have been fun for you sometimes if you ever let it."
(Batman 689)
