He doesn’t actually have a name yet. I have a few in mind that would fit him pretty well. One is a bit cliche while the other is just random. So, it’s between these two names….Cat and Sir Bubba…. 😅

Of course, if anyone wants to suggest some names for the small cretin. I’m more than happy to expand the list of names!

I'm curious: What things have been the most useful in your artistic journey? Any particular tools, classes, or tips you'd be willing to pass on? <3

hi! flattered you ask, but unfortunately im not sure i have a lot of actually useful, actionable tips up my sleeve :/ i draw as a hobby, so a lot of what i do is unstructured fucking around. i think my best advice is to make ambitious projects, especially with artist friends if you can! for example, my entire world is being turned upside down by participating in a comic tournament rn. (its really cool, check it out HERE) just my specific example, but making art in an environment of peers who all hype you up can supercharge your brain and drive like nothing else

do you have any tips for taking clear pictures of your traditional work? all of the comics you've posted look so clean

hi :) i use a scanner, and then fiddle with adjustments digitally to improve contrast and try to get rid of bleedthrough from the other side of the page. if you dont have a scanner, make sure to take your picture with really even, flat lighting, to make editing it digitally as easy as you can. alternatively, you can try finding a phone app to simulate having a scanner, all that does is cut down on the editing you have to do by hand. (when i was in uni mid-covid, we used an app called clearscan to photograph our hand drawn tests) all that said, i am very new to this, others do it way better and have likely said smarter things in response so. grain of salt

I saw your stuff first in the d20 zine jam this year and post mortem is my favourite thing ever!!!! I hadn't thought much about calroy before that and it made me insane. The BRIGHT PINK on black shaped made me slam my face on the table
