The funny thing is that they could have just let the Daniel story die. They’ve had so many versions of the same story out there in the press and not once has Daniel pushed back against any of it. Even their decision to replace him with Lawson appears to have paid off in the eyes of the general F1 audience. They could have let the whole Daniel thing fade into obscurity and yet, they have this egoistic need to remind everyone that they were the only ones willing to give him a second chance (false) and that he is still in touch with the team! (he hasn’t picked up any of their calls since Singapore)
