Invisible Children: Move D.C.
So I just spent endless hours making this video for our IC meeting tomorrow.
Some of you may have been asking, "What happened to KONY 2012?" Well here you go. Please watch!! Please, please, please....not for me, but for those who at this very moment are waiting for someone, somewhere to hear them, to see them, and to care. From the moment I watched the Invisible Children documentary (The Rough Cut, watch it, it will rock you) I could not just sit and live my life knowing that this is what's going on in the world that I live in, to innocent people...to children. As someone who has worked with children for years I cannot imagine those children having to everyday live in fear. This is the world I live in and I see no reason not to care just because it's not happening in my country. We are all human, we live in ONE WORLD. I can be a voice to the voiceless, they can't contact their leaders but I can....I can do something. There came a point where I decided that I can't live with myself if I'm sitting and do absolutely nothing when there are children, being abducted, raped, watching their parents being murdered, being forced to murder...I can't. This has a hold on my heart and I will never understand someone who can go on with their lives knowing that this is happening and doing absolutely nothing. Invisible Children has done so much for those affected by the LRA and will continue to do so, but they need your support. I love I.C. I believe in them. I will continue to support them. I believe in liberty, peace, and justice. I am the Fourth Estate.
P.S. MOVE:DC was amazing...this only makes me miss it more.
