I saw @fluidsoul31's Move edit and thought the logical thing to do was follow up with seeing how adding DPR IAN's Don't Go Insane audio would work, since Skin visually references both him and Taemin. The part I edited here isn't how it directly lines up when the audio is played straight along with the video track - I tried to make it fit better in a lyrical sense. However, I did save a version of the full Skin video with the Don't Go Insane audio for anyone interested in it!

To say I screamed when things lined up so well is an understatement? There's no way that could've been done on purpose, but the happy accident is so exciting. It speaks to me about the level of craft that's present, and just how well Hongjoong truly knows Seonghwa from the start.

It also raises thoughts and feelings about how pop artists are inspired by each other, and reference each other as a form of praise and recognition. FluSo and I talked about the influence of Michael Jackson in the overall industry (Hongjoong, among several artists, having spoken about him influencing their work). How pop in general has been a decades-long conversation between people of all backgrounds. How gender expression comes into the mix and what that says about society. If I had the time and the energy to deep dive into the history behind just Seonghwa, Taemin, and DPR IAN, the commentary on gender, and the many facets that are behind this music video, it'd become an hours-long video essay.

But for now, enjoy this I guess lol.
