Mover vs. Mover (Imagination Movers fic sneak peak)
Tags (hope y’all don’t mind it): @123countwithme @happinessismagicc @redgearsmovin
Note #1: I talked about this idea in the past about my Moversona, Mover Kit, having a (majority friendly) rivalry with Rich, and now I’m finally writing it!
—
“I WON THAT!” Rich yells.
“CLEARLY I WON THAT!” Kit defends and places her fingers on her chest.
“ARE YOU KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW?! I GOT FARTHER!”
“YOU’RE LOOKING AT MINE, YOU DITZY DRUMMER!”
“Hey, hey, hey!” Dave and the others walk in on a frustrated Mover Rich and Mover Kit.
“What’s going on here?” Scott asks, but the two don’t realize their presence.
“Move it again. I dare you!” Kit seethes.
“Accept second place!” Rich pushes his forehead against her.
Kit is taken aback at first, but pushes back. “Never, you scribbling sore loser!”
“You two need to calm down!” Smitty steps in between to push them apart. “What are you two even arguing about?”
Kit huffs. “Warehouse Mouse showed us a new game.”
“Where you have to see who can throw a paper airplane balancing a cheese cube the closest to the front of his home,” Rich adds.
“That I obviously got the closest to,” Kit huffs.
“No, I did!” Rich scowls.
“Well, it seems that both of you got played. Look,” Dave points above to see Warehouse Mouse gliding in the air on both of the paper airplanes holding the two cheese cubes.
“Yippe!” He squeaks.
“How’d he do that? Scott asks. Smitty simply shrugs. He even manages to do a loop-de-loop midair without him or the cheese falling.
“You, uh, wanna call this a draw?” Kit calmly asks.
“Might as well…” Rich rolls out a giant chalkboard with a score of tally marks indicating how many activities the two of them won, but frankly, the amount of tied scores overshadow how many individualized points were awarded: which is zero on both sides.
“How have either of us not been able to win anything? Are we that good at everything? Even I’m surprising myself,” Kit wonders.
“Better question, what have you two tied in so far?” Scott stares at the board.
“Well, there was the pie-eating competition at the Idea Café,” Kit starts off.
“A stare down in the Wild West Room.”
“The hotdog-eating competition at the Idea Café.”
“A dance-off in the Dance Room.”
“Competitive bingo at the Idea Café. Although I think that was only hosted for the seniors….might have to apologize to Nina for that one,” Kit frowns.
“A surfing competition in the Beach Room.”
“Competitive sandcastle building. Also in the Beach Room.”
“Competitive model kit building.”
“Who can rest the longest in the Room of Relaxation.”
“We really should’ve held that longer,” Kit says.
“We really should’ve,” Rich agrees.
“…”
“WE EVEN AGREE ON WHO SHOULD’VE WON!” Kit whines.
“We’ll never declare a winner at this rate! Rich panics.
“This is nothing a little tiebreaker can’t fix,” Dave casually shrugs.
“We’re on our eighty-fourth tiebreaker!” Kit frowns.
“Make that a really large tiebreaker!” Scott chimes in. Rich and Kit glare at him, making him pipe down.
“This doesn’t seem like an ordinary competition or an ordinary problem.”
Rich and Kit start at the same time. “Nope. It’s an…”
“Idea Emergency!”
“We need to help Rich and Kit,” Dave starts off.
“Figure out a way to win their contest,” Scott adds.
“So we can finally get some peace and quiet!” Smitty subtly complains.
“And that means we need some good ideas,” Rich and Kit say at the same time again.
“Let’s brainstorm!” The group simultaneously announce with Rich and Kit lightly shoving each other over who gets to be in the center. The others quietly groan.

Note #2: Looking forward to finishing this fic. Thanks for reading!
Screw it Imagination Movers when they're sick hc's bc i am a sickfic enjoyer!!
Rich: Is the least likely to get sick out of the group due to his more healthy and active lifestyle but when he does get hit with something he acts like he's on his deathbed whining and groaning at the tiniest of sniffles lmao.
Scott: Also has a pretty good immune system but always gets a cold during the winter. The others know when he's not feeling well as he's a lot clingier and cuddlier than usual.
Smitty: He tends to get migraines a lot and will often try to hide the fact that he's sick and work through his illness until someone else realises and he gladly lets them bring him tea and soup.
Dave: This man catches everything under the sun. Especially stomachaches with some of the questionable food choices he makes lol. Unlike the other movers though he doesn't like the attention that comes with being sick. He won't outright say no to help but he likes to have his space when he's not feeling well.
WHO WANT'S SOME MOVER GIFS??? Part 1
Have them! Take them! Use them!
I made them for the fandom since I have only seen about 3 gifs so I'm restocking the shelves!
Never Grow Up: Caregiver Dave (a Imagination Movers story)
Author's Note: Here's Dave's chapter! I really liked how this turned out, and let me know who I should write for next! Dolly is based on my stuffie, Roxy, who is a dinosaur! This will also be on AO3, and I hope you enjoy! No pressure tags: @123countwithme @kittyundercover1 and @redgearsmovin
Caregiver Dave "Dave, Dolly needs your help!"
Dave almost bangs his head from underneath the kitchen sink from your shout.
He carefully crawls from underneath the sink, sits up, and got up so he could check Dolly, your dinosaur stuffie.
Dolly was your favorite stuffie, since Nina gave Dolly to you as a present.
Where-ever you went, so did Dolly, and sometimes Dolly gets hurt, and her stuffing comes out.
Case in point, which was wrong with Dolly now.
Dave gives you an apologetic look.
"Sorry, kiddo. But, there's a lot of stuff that needs fixing around The Warehouse today."
Your lower lip sticks out.
"Scott said you could!"
Dave looks across The Think Tank, where Scott was reading a book about burros, his favorite animal.
When Scott noticed Dave looking at him, Scott gave Dave a sheepish smile before covering his face with the book.
Dave looks back at you, and sighs.
"Okay, how about this: let me finish fixing the sink first, and then I can help Dolly."
"Pinky promise?"
Dave locks his pinky with yours.
"Pinky promise."
Once the kitchen sink was fixed, it was Dolly's turn.
As Dave got some thread, a needle, and some extra stuffing from his hat, you were comforting Dolly.
"Don't worry, Dolly! Dave will make you feel better!"
Dave smiles at your words, and looks at Dolly.
He knew you believed that Dolly was a real, live dinosaur, and not a stuffie.
"Y/N's right: I always make Freddy Bear feel better."
You giggle at the mention of Scott's beloved teddy bear before settling down so Dave could work.
You watch closely as Dave put extra stuffing inside Dolly before stitching her up with black thread, looking good as new.
"Ta-da!"
You squeal, giving Dolly a huge hug.
"Thanks, Dave!"
"You're welcome, kiddo."
You look in Scott's direction.
"Scott, guess what? Dave made Dolly all better!"
"That's great: now they can go on that picnic!"
Dave watched with an amused expression on his face as you and Scott scamper off to The Picnic Room.
While you got along great with the other Movers, it was Scott who you had the closest bond with, besides Nina.
Dave glanced around The Warehouse, seeing the things that still needed to be fixed.
Then, he glanced in the direction you and Scott went too.
While knowing he should probably get back to work, he had been working all morning, and a picnic did sound nice.
Dave walked to The Picnic Room, and just as he was about to open the door, he could hear you, Scott, and Warehouse Mouse talking behind the door.
"Does Freddy Bear want some more tea?"
"Yes, please!"
Dave sighed and let go of the handle, not wanting to join the picnic anymore, and ruin Scott's time with you.
Instead, he went back to work.
Once everything was fixed, Dave was sitting on the couch, staring off into space when Scott came down from upstairs.
"Where's Y/N?" Dave asked as Scott sat down next to him, and picked up his burro book.
"They were feeling tired, so I took them upstairs for a nap, and Warehouse Mouse and Freddy Bear joined them."
Dave nods, and that's when Scott notices the look on his face.
"Hey, what's wrong?"
At first, Dave didn't want to say anything, but Scott was one of his best friends.
"I feel like I don't spend enough time with Y/N."
"What are you talking about? You spend a lot of time with Y/N!"
Dave shook his head.
"Not the way you, Rich, Smitty, and Nina do. I'm always working."
The Movers were only your caregivers whenever Nina wasn't around, but Scott, Dave, Rich, and Smitty got used to you being around The Warehouse a lot, and even helped them with some idea emergencies.
It was safe to say they were all pretty attached to you.
"Well--"
Scott didn't get to finish his sentence when you came down with Warehouse Mouse, looking upset.
You were dressed in your dinosaur pajama onesie (Nina explained to The Movers that dinosaurs were your special thing) that looked like Dolly, while Warehouse Mouse sat on your shoulder, and was trying (unsuccessfully) to comfort you.
Dave and Scott got up from the couch, and were in full caregiver mode.
"What's wrong, kiddo?" Dave asked, and you shook your head, too upset to say anything.
Warehouse Mouse looked at Dave and Scott.
"Y/N can't sleep because they don't have Dolly."
Dave and Scott nod, understanding what was going on.
"Scott and I can help you find Dolly." Dave said, and you manage to smile, while Warehouse Mouse cheers.
Scott looks at Dave.
"Actually, I should stay here and finish my burro book: it's due soon."
Dave smiled, knowing what Scott was trying to do.
"Okay."
You, Warehouse Mouse, and Dave left Scott to read, and went into the hall of rooms.
"Okay, where should we start looking?"
Suddenly, Dave felt a tug on his sleeve, and he looks at you.
"Hmm?" he asked, and you point to The Picnic Room, and he smiles.
"You want to look for Dolly in The Picnic Room?" he asked, and you nodded.
"Okay."
Dave opened the door, and nothing seemed out of the ordinary:
Scott must have cleaned up after putting you, Warehouse Mouse and Freddy Bear down for a nap, but you remembered being in The Picnic Room last.
You looked around the place you had your picnic, and squealed when you found Dolly.
"Good job, kiddo! You found her!"
You nod, and hugged Dolly to your chest.
When Nina came to get you later, you told her about your day at The Warehouse, including how Dave made Dolly feel better.
"That's great, keiki!" Nina replied, and Scott looks at her.
"What does that mean?" Scott asked, and Nina smiles.
"Keiki means 'little one' in Hawaii. That's my nickname for Y/N."
Scott nods.
"Just like how Dave calls Y/N kiddo!"
Before leaving with Nina, you gave Scott and Dave hugs.
"Thanks for helping Dolly feel better today, Dave."
"You're welcome, kiddo."

Mover Scott in One Cool Mover
Dave post, Smitty post
Scott's interests are burros and puppets or in a more general sense, crafts which also includes sewing. And I think he also likes dancing (more than the other Movers). He has a shoelace collection and his fave is the dancing one, and he's good at breakdancing. Also I think with Scott he's got a lot of items he collects. Like, he has his burro themed stuff of course, then the shoelaces, his sock puppet wall, ummm I can't remember more but I just think he's got really interesting collections of items. (Numbers in my Bag is a song that applies to him too haha)
Maybe he has a silly sock collection (that he actually wears lol, maybe some made by himself), like his purple wooly socks.
so i just found out about movers_covers1 on instagram fan project, "The Great Switch and Escape" and I'm already so hyped about it.
This is based on a moment in this scene, where Scott says he and Dave dress up as Rich and Smitty. Basically, Rich and Smitty get stuck in a room and have to escape, and I think there's reporters wanting to interview the Movers? I don't know much yet but it's already so interesting I'm so invested lol.
Scott is wearing a wig. IDK if they were recognizable so I just labelled them anyway lol.
