Hey! I'm Beep! Some of you might already know me if we're mutuals but I finally decided to make a sideblog so i could reblog and make posts about media i'm intrested in without cluttering up my main one.
I love listening to a song and then thinking 'yeah i could hear the movers covering this'
Dave post, Smitty post
Scott's interests are burros and puppets or in a more general sense, crafts which also includes sewing. And I think he also likes dancing (more than the other Movers). He has a shoelace collection and his fave is the dancing one, and he's good at breakdancing. Also I think with Scott he's got a lot of items he collects. Like, he has his burro themed stuff of course, then the shoelaces, his sock puppet wall, ummm I can't remember more but I just think he's got really interesting collections of items. (Numbers in my Bag is a song that applies to him too haha)
Maybe he has a silly sock collection (that he actually wears lol, maybe some made by himself), like his purple wooly socks.
Dave post, Scott post
Smitty's tertiary interest is space, aside from his love of nature (that includes hiking, gardening, animals, generally going outdoors) and being a cowboy. He always reacts really excitedly whenever space is mentioned, and he's literally in a space exploration club where he got the moon rocks (and brought back the Uffle-fluffs lol).
I like to think that one rocket sculpture (or was it painting?) they have in the Think Tank was Smitty's idea, and every space-themed item or memorabilia were his decoration choices. He probably has made like those space diorama things in the Arts and Crafts room.
also he likes ducks and carving duck decoys but I just chalk that up as loving nature.
and this one is kinda unrelated but I feel he likes thrifting (i think there's only one episode where he went to buy something at a yard sale lol) and is pretty good at finding cool items at an amazing price. That's also why I headcanon him to manage the Idea Warehouse finances lol idk.
anyway.. Space cowboy zoom!!!!
Smitty post, Scott post
I have some things I rambled on the Movercord about what I call their tertiary interests. Which is basically their interests other than the main two they'd likely be known for. Like how Dave loves inventing/machinery but he also really likes food.
So since there's like 2 instances of Dave with perfume, I'm headcanoning he has a collection lol. which makes sense cuz in Muffin Man they all say he has a good sense of smell. His collection probably varies from regular perfume and then some truly wacky ones. Tho maybe they all tend to be food-related scents. Like vanilla, fruity scents, cookie batter or coconut or maybe even popcorn scented.
And then there's the questionable ones which might be his favourites who knows lmao.
I think the slam dunk solution episode handles the confrontation well (having rich and nina be the ones that reassure smitty is really good since those two are the more down-to-earth people that Smitty would feel easier opening up to) but the way they solved the problem at the end really just falls flat in comparison.
Honestly, quite a number of Season 3 episodes are like this, where the concept is SO good but the way they conclude things is just kinda unsatisfying that leaves you yearning for something more.....
Maybe they ran out of time to flesh out the endings, and due to the constraints they opt for an easier straight to the point ending? But that just sucks considering them solving a problem is like the main deal!! They build up the plot to be this really interesting thing that gets you invested and then the end doesn't meet the standards that the storyline raised. And it makes you so frustrated thinking on what could have been!!!! augh.........
Like, "Award to the Wise" I'll never stop talking about this episode lmaoo but the concept is interesting most of the episode is really solid. And then the ending kinda spoils it and becomes like, antithesis to the point they were making throughout the episode.
Anyway that's what fanfiction is for hahahaaa give Thank You for Being a Friend a read if you haven't already!! It gives a more satisfying ending to the episode so perfectly amazing no notes chef's kiss 😌👌💙
Screw it Imagination Movers when they're sick hc's bc i am a sickfic enjoyer!!
Rich: Is the least likely to get sick out of the group due to his more healthy and active lifestyle but when he does get hit with something he acts like he's on his deathbed whining and groaning at the tiniest of sniffles lmao.
Scott: Also has a pretty good immune system but always gets a cold during the winter. The others know when he's not feeling well as he's a lot clingier and cuddlier than usual.
Smitty: He tends to get migraines a lot and will often try to hide the fact that he's sick and work through his illness until someone else realises and he gladly lets them bring him tea and soup.
Dave: This man catches everything under the sun. Especially stomachaches with some of the questionable food choices he makes lol. Unlike the other movers though he doesn't like the attention that comes with being sick. He won't outright say no to help but he likes to have his space when he's not feeling well.
I love shows about bands. It's probably the polycule enjoyer in me
Nina and Warehouse Mouse - Imagination Movers S1E25
I love Balamory but something that really bugs me about the show is the lack of continuity. And yes i know it's a kids show and continuity isn't important but when it's something important to a character it's annoying that it isn't mentioned/seen again.
I'm using Archie (for obvious reasons) to explain this. So in the episode 'Guide Dog' it's shown that Archie has terrible eyesight if he doesn't wear his glasses. Everything is a blurry mess and he can't even make out places or peoples faces. But in 'Treasure Hunt', PC Plum comes to visit Archie who currently isn't wearing glasses as he's using a jewellers magnifying glass. But Archie is clearly able to recognise Plum and also find some paper on the shelf.
Another example is in the episode 'Sneeze' where we find out Archie is allergic to dogs however, in the episode 'Tantrums' Archie visits the farm and pets and strokes some puppies seemingly forgetting all about the fact that he's allergic.
Again i know at the end of the day it's a show for kids who aren't going to care about things like that or remember, but i can think of so many other shows that don't have character inconsistencies like this.
Hnng he looks so..... :)
I've officially watched every single episode of balamory with Archie in. I'm going feral i feel like he wasn't in enough episodes but he was actually in *checks notes* 135 episodes
This has been sitting in my drafts far too long idc if it looks like trash anymore.
Lowkey need one of the movers to say they're proud of me
Bro really just had that on him
